Officer Darren Wilson Suffered “Orbital Blowout Fracture to Eye Socket” During Mike Brown Attack
Gateway Pundit ^ | 19 Aug 2014 | Jim Hoft

The Gateway Pundit can now confirm from two local St. Louis sources that police Officer Darren Wilson suffered facial fractures during his confrontation with deceased 18 year-old Michael Brown. Officer Wilson clearly feared for his life during the incident that led to the shooting death of Brown. This was after Michael Brown and his accomplice Dorian Johnson robbed a local Ferguson convenience store.

Local St. Louis sources said Wilson suffered an “orbital blowout fracture to the eye socket.” This comes from a source within the District Attorney’s office and confirmed by the St. Louis County Police.

I agree with the second point, but thats the media and feds. The cop standing near they body might not show much. Other than swelling the damage is not readily apparent without an x-ray at least at first. But the retina at the back of the eye is part of the brain. So a fragment of bone from one of these fractures has only a few millimeters to go to penetrate the brain. The risk of infection and vision loss is significant. Also remember adrenaline does weird things to the body. One can be pretty badly injured and able to function for a time on pure adrenaline.

it sounded like excessive force and God knows that is happened a lot these days. However, I was not and am not sure...glad actually that it looks like now it probably was used to save his life. I am wondering, why not stay in the patrol car with a line of fire, and call for back up?

Most probably the officer was aiming for center mass as he was trained and his aim was a bit off due to his injury, angle of presentation, speed of the action. Good shooting none the less.

I’m surprised at the notion that ANY police car today, well into the 21st century, is not equipped with a dash cam.

I am too but I checked the Ferguson City Budget where it shows the purchase, and the statement that they weren't installed due to lack of funds came directly from the Chief of Police.

By the way, the distance the casings were from the body will depict the distance Wilson was from the suspect when he fired. No?

Not necessarily. Think about it.

No, you tell me about it.

Without the evidence being moved or manipulated, how could the the location of casings not depict very close proximity to where the Wilson was standing when he fired?

I'd like to hear this from you.

Thank you for teaching people not only how to safely and effectively carry a firearm, but how to deal with the all-important aftermath in case the necessity arises of actually having to use their training. The shooting is not the end of it, not now, no matter what.

I agree. The “investigation” will said to be “ongoing” (with occasional press releases stating this to keep it in the news) just up until Election Day, then “strangely enough”, it will fade into the mists.

BTW, they’ll test the ejection pattern of the weapon, and be able to nearly pinpoint where the shots were fired based on the casing locations.

Indeed, he earlier received a commendation. It’s clear he deserved it.

Could be cigars that were in his hand, car keys? Maybe blood droplets. Any number of things. It began at car on first point of contact. The subject allegedly walk away from there. Did the officer exit car to pursue? These have to be reconciled.

"Eric Holder may have been telling people not to disclose even records they could disclose, because doing so would anger the ferals."

I can see this since he tried to block the store video from being released.

On the Second City Cop blog, the cops who frequent the blog discuss doing just this, when working in the ghetto. They say they can’t win for losing, so they might as well just cover their rears. They especially mention a recent incident in Indiana where some ghetto rats called a cop to the scene, then one of their group shot and killed the cop when he exited the car-this was done by a multiple convicted felon. The mother of the cop killer actually got media time to say she had no concern for the cop, he shouldn’t have left his car, blah blah. So the cops are going to more and more take them at their word, and not leave the car. Let them kill each other, as long as they leave law-abiding citizens alone.

So you're suggesting the traffic cones are marking other evidence and not the spent casings?

??

I don’t want to read too much into that photo, but Brown’s arms are extended backwards, not forwards, as you might expect if he had his arms raised.

Watch this video interview of eyewitness. At 1:35 mark she demonstrates how Brown moved. Its pure speculative.
