I can't believe that the polls show that jerk, Bruce Braley, running neck and neck with Joni. He needs to be defeated; big time.

I am a Chicagoan, living in the QC for the last 5 years. I cannot believe how awful the Braley ads are. There is absolutely no substance. He is appealing to the Johnson County (Iowa City) base that is 90% registered Democrat. (The rest are Wiccans, Greens, and the usual collection of oddballs). My hunch is that he will lose because he is turning off moderates and motivating conservatives.

Like Joe Lunchbox and Mary, the Supermarket cashier, give a crap about the Koch Brothers. If that’s the best Braley can do; it’s pitiful. He is such a jerk; him and his wife. How this race can even be close is a mystery to me. But, it’s midterm elections and the turn-out will be low. The rural people will vote and the city folks... well.... hopefully not so much.
My hunch is that he (Braley) will lose because he is turning off moderates.....

I believe that an Iowa newspaper editor came up with the best description of Braley -- "an elitist turd"
I think you answered your own question. He’s a jerk. He also has no substance and it is readily apparent. Moderates like to believe that they are thoughtful. When they think about Braley ....
