You’re right, my mistake. I don’t think this is a good year to pander to environmentalists wet dreams though.

“I should have said “environmentalist caused”....”

Yeah, I can see your “confusion,” since the “environmentalists” infest the government, it’s an understandable error! The whole country had better hope we get some precipitation this winter or a lot of the stuff you get from us to eat won’t be there!

“The drought will break soon; likely with above normal rains and flooding and mudslides. Hey, you’re talking about two of our seasons “Flood” and Mudslide!”

What happens when Lake Mead runs dry, when the lowered water tube starts sucking dry? Seriously, have you heard what the plans are?

Tahoe has enough water to cover the state of California to a depth of 14½ inches. We have water just not distributed well. Maybe we should have desalinization plants for the coastal population areas.

Did you notice all the water that we’re stealing and hoarding here in Nevada?

Didn't they have some problems at Burning Man due to rain?

Yeah. They had a one day delay due to standing water on the playa. Opened today.

Just went and looked at the pics. The slider feature showing before and after seems to make it very difficult to copy to the thread. My mistake.

Thanks for the tip. Kinda pricey but if it works like all the reviews it would be worth it. Didn’t see any mention of sage brush in the reviews but we may give it a try.

They are beyond reasoning. They will lie and say that there has been no warning, when.in fact the threat of dwindling aquifer supplies has been mentioned in California simce the 1980s, possibly earlier.

Is the problem really a drought, or is it too many illegal aliens let in this past decade drawing more and more water than before?

Is it less water or more people?

The problem is relying heavily on well water, which is slow to replenish, and focusing so much food production (80 percent of California water) from the wells. Had development occurred differently, we wouldn’t be in the dire situation we are in now. Combined with the fact that the majority of California is naturally desert, it doesn’t look too pretty.
