He probably does it through visible displays of apparent or real aggression. OTOH my Dane does it just by his size and presence. There’s just something about seeing a 110 lb. Black and white lummox with huge thunder paws and giant flapping ears running toward you that impresses, even when he’s totally friendly.
The head is the control center. Scramble that and the machine stops. The bladder area is very rich in large nerves and arteries which feed and control the legs. Scramble that and the mass topples immediately, and usually in shock inducing agony. Ask any Physician who treated war injuries ... a bullet into the bladder region is devastating and immediately incapacitates the legs. Once the target is grounded, a head shot is much easier to accomplish.

I am five foot (and a fraction). Attacking some who does not pose danger to me is outside my moral values. I can inflict a great deal of damage if I am in danger but I can not do a "beat down". My type of defense would be to disable and beat feet. I have no illusion about being 10 feet tall and bullet proof. Picking up even another small adult and tossing them around is beyond me.
Michael Brown was twice my mass. Picking me up and tossing me around and doing a beat down was not beyond him physically and it certainly was well within his moral values. We have video evidence of such.

Well Laz, that is the way I have heard it, the officer’s side of it, through his “girlfriend” on the radio. Should he have shot while being charged? Don’t have a big issue with it. Should he have “pursued” according to his “protocol”. No. Not while outnumbered and injured.
In short, you do not have a problem with the way Michael Brown was killed.
Because these were the only killing shots.

The cop should not have followed his questionable “protocol” to “pursue” when he was 1) “injured” and 2) outnumbered.
He didn’t need to precipitate the conflict and was just being a macho man of questionable judgment. An hour later would have been fine when there was more than one lanky white cop to do the job.

That said, there is still a very serious problem with cops today, and the way they police both the majorities and the minorities.

Or maybe he didn't agree with you that Brown should just be let go.
