Scriptures? Like the Bible? Kerry wants us to do something he thinks Christians advocate?

I can’t keep up.

April 23, 2013: Army Orders Soldiers To Scrape Bible Verses Off Their Rifle Scopes…

The U.S. Army is directing troops to remove a Bible inscription that a vendor etched into the serial numbers of weapon scopes, Fox News has learned.

Soldiers at Fort Wainwright in Alaska told Fox News they received a directive to turn in their scopes so the Bible references could be removed.

The scopes were made by Trijicom and referenced New Testament passages in John 8:12 and Second Corinthians 4:6. The verses appeared at the end of the scope serial numbers – “JN8:12” and “2COR4:6.”

“The biblical verse (JN8:12) must be removed utilizing a Dremel type tool and then painted black,” read instructions on how to remedy the matter.

After the letters and numbers were scrapped off, soldiers were directed to use apply black paint to ensure the verses were totally covered.

January 19, 2010: Michigan weapons company Trijicon takes flak for rifle scopes with Bible verse

A Michigan weapons company is under fire for branding thousands of rifle scopes used by U.S. soldiers and Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan with passages from the Bible.

U.S. military rules prohibit any service member from proselytizing while serving in Iraq or Afghanistan, which are primarily Muslim nations.

Trijicon, a sighting manufacturer based in Wixom, Mich., has several multimillion-dollar contracts with the Pentagon to make sights.

Along with the sight's stock number, there are coded Bible passages from the New Testament engraved on the sights. One reads JN8:12, an apparent reference to John 8:12, which says, "Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

Trijicon did not return calls for comment yesterday but confirmed the engravings to ABCNews.com. And the company's mission statement is steeped in religion, saying it strives to follow morals "based on Biblical standards."

Mikey Weinstein, founder of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, said the sights endanger troops. "This plays right into the hands of maniacs who say, 'Look, it's a jihad,'" he said, adding that he's received several complaints from soldiers and Marines.

U.S. military officials told ABCNews.com they were "unaware" of the biblical markings.

I know it’s not in same exact context but a passage Paul wrote came to mind almost immediately. “Oh foolish Galatians who has bewitched you?”

Oh, my...

"Wednesday at a ceremony to appoint Texas lawyer Shaarik Zafar to be special representative to Muslim communities, Secretary of State John Kerry said it was the United States’ Biblical “responsibility” to “confront climate change,” including to protect “vulnerable Muslim majority counties.”

Kerry said Scripture, in particular the Book of Genesis, make clear it is our “duty” to protect the planet and we should look at Muslim countries “with a sense of stewardship of earth,” adding, “That responsibility comes from God.”

John Effin Kerry and all of his brethren who have hijacked this country are pure evil.
