Bring a link that says we have a POSITIVE please in Miami?
I guess that’s one way to rid yourself of the best and brightest who are probably increasingly fed up with you bullshit and might be considering mutiny.
Thanks.
Don’t know if I should believe the gubmint or the gubmint controlled media, but if this is true, good news.
Mods, you know whether to keep this thread in place.:)
Thanks again, win one...
“Someone flew from west Africa to Europe and connected to a US bound carrier..?”
Probably a self-infected ISIS terrorist looking forward to those 72 virgins...
Alahu Akbar!
I didn’t mention anything about the Miami case specifically.
I stated that the test is notorious for false negatives that subsequently turn positive. With tragic results:
“William Pooley was first Briton to contract the virus and flown back to UK
He spent free time keeping Sellu Borbor occupied at centre in Sierra Leone
Toddler initally tested negative but caught virus from mother’s breast milk
He died last Sunday - the same day 29-year-old Pooley was diagnosed”
Yeah... and all *last* week we were reading articles about how the virus has multiple mutations that are causing false negatives...
*crap*
Please you are much older than me ... I’m a N00b! Let’s not be a party to starting a panic, please. Am begging, please. It may happen. I do not know. Let’s take a deep breath and wait, please.
You're all in deep doo-doo.
“How many NYC taxi drivers disinfect between fares?”
Heck it’d be nice if they would shower once a month.
I have posted this before but bears repeating. I contracted an airborne virus, called adenovirus, in July while taking a friend’s husband to see a neurosurgeon.
I am a complete germaphobe and didn’t touch a single thing there but, came down with pinkeye, respiratory problems and a host of other icky things. It was bad enough that I sought treatment at an urgent care facility.
There were no obviously sick people around me but the dr told me what I caught was airborne and everyone should consider wearing a mask when visiting any medical facility.
No panic.
But this test has a lot of false negatives. And there have been many people tested in this country since this outbreak began. It’s only a matter of time before one of these false negative tests turns positive later on.
Borders are open, air flights direct from West Africa continue so we shouldn’t panic, but shouldn’t be surprised when it shows up here either.
There’s an ELECTION coming up on November 4th.
BE THERE OR FORFEIT YOUR RIGHT TO BITCH!!
NO MORE DEMOCRATS (aka COMMUNISTS) EVER!!!!
NO PANIC and I will not panic because that would be stupid.
That’s awesome! Not many folks can do that, even among self described ‘preppers’.
That’s an area I need to work on. My wife and I have a large family. It’s tough for us to ‘prep’ for the week sometimes! lol
Thanks Dick ... Best suggestion of the day!
Your post #51
Darn good question when it comes to fomites, and casual or accidential contact.
How about hospitals which have fabric curtains, and fabric furniture ?
I am sure that it is easier to clean and sanitize resin furniture, and concrete walls than fabric.
I'm pretty sure that these filovirus quick tests give a high percentage of false negatives even minus the mutations. For that matter I have not seen evidence that the virus is mutating particularly rapidly; however, the number of infected hosts provides more opportunity for that to occur. The data I saw showed a relatively constant rate of mutation over a number of years. Anyone, please correct me if wrong.
It not panicking to be prepared though.
Being able to withstand a month or 6w in place would be a great goal if you can’t do that already.
There are primaries before the Nov. election.
Support the conservatives ...
or admit that you support Obama/DNC/GOPe
