Yesterday, Barack Obama stated, Turkey needs to be involved in coalition against ISIS.
On Thursday Turkey said it will not allow the US to use its airbases to fight ISIS.

Boy America is soooooo respected in the world now that we got rid of that nasty mean old Bush, aren’t we?
The strategy that have been working on for months didn’t involve locating a place for the bombing runs to takeoff and land? Could you do an political sitcom that would make it’s characters more inept?
Call him Obama Barack Dangerfield, he don’t get no respect.
Of course he doesnt’ respect the will of his voters, so there’s that.
Reminds me of France’s refusal when we bombed Libya years ago. But they sure allowed over flights during WW2!
Lets roll
Here we go again.
I'm sure you're right, and now it's all Turkey's fault.
Knew that.
Not to use them to bomb Assad (and thus allying with IS) and by proxy attacking Russia, too.
Knew that too. But your implication is that our intent is now to bomb Assad needs more support.
So, if Turkey and Saudi have given rise to ISIS, and ISIS isn’t Islamic, then can we say that the seat of Mecca and also of the Ottoman’s are not Islamic? After all, Obama says ISIS isn’t Islamic.
One muslim coordinating his Taquyya (however you spell it) with another. That’s all this is.
Good for Turkey. Countries around the world hate this jerk and know he’d talk big to get them involved and then leave them high and dry.
If we can just get through two more years, then maybe America can get back on her feet and get our allies back.
Never Ever in my wildest dream would I think of -
Cowboy Obama.
And of course, the performance (ISIS speech) is over, Obama’s back to his domestic agenda plus golf, vacation, fundraising, etc etc
Oh darn.. Looks like we should NEVER have completely withdrawn from Iraq.
So much for majority of Americans and you are right. The next time something blows up in their faces they will still not accept that King Obama don't give a shi!
a) He was smarter than George W.Bush
b) He had a greater empathy and understanding of Islam than George W.Bush
c) He wasn't George W. Bush.
... I have got to stop thinking.
Our politicians, if they had read history, should’ve known that the last Caliphate was located in Turkey.
Could it be that Turkey has visions of turning the clock of history back?
For now, Turkey finds ISIS useful as a means to weaken Syria and Iraq, its two established nation state adversaries. Long-term, Turkey is pursuing a neo-Ottoman strategy that aims to gain domination over the Arabs and other non-Turkic Muslims in its immediate neighborhood. This will bring much trouble in the coming years.
If this smile on my face lasts longer than 4 hours, am I supposed to call a doctor?
There really isn’t anything to smile about, but I just can’t help it.
Every time JV Obama fails, another angel gets it’s wings.
He could not have gotten Turkey on board...anymore than they would during Iraq war ...and he won’t get the Arab nations co-operation without huge revenues being paid and promises....they are rolling Obama and he’s letting them with both pockets open from the USA....AGAIN!
Pays to keep an eye on Turkey...bad stuff brewing there IMO.
P.S. You’d think the black community would be having hissy fits with all the revenues going to Muslim nations to build and rebuild their cultures rather than Obama doing like wise for their culture ad people!
That used to be an accurate statement. However, Turkey (while still a member of NATO) is no longer a "secular state" and has purged its military of the dependable officer corps which maintained that "secular state"! Now, Turkey is but a camel in the NATO tent for islamists! This was predicted many years ago when their NATO membership was being debated!!!
