The UN is quietly pulling back from the parts of the peacekeeper-administered military disengagement zone separating the Israeli and Syrian-controlled sections of the Golan Heights.
Reuters quotes an anonymous UN staffer as saying that "Staff in U.N. positions 10, 16, 31 and 37, as well as Camp Faouar on the (Syrian) side are being relocated."
Twitter user and Israel-based blogger Judge Dan created a map of these positions based off of the UN's publically-available information on the location of the UN Disengagement Observer Force's various bases:

According to the deployment map on UNDOF's website, these positions are near a base for Fijian peacekeepers dozens of whom were kidnapped by the Al Qaeda affiliate Jabhat al-Nusral in late August.
It's likely that the UN is just temporarily reducing its presence in these areas until the security situation calms down. But the northern area of the usually-quiet disengagement zone which was established after Israel beat back a Syrian surprise attack on October 6th, 1973, and agreed to withdraw to the pre-conflict front line after advancing to within 25 miles of Damascus has turned into a trouble spot for the UN recently.

Those naughty Islamists just don’t respect the international community.
So where are they withdrawing to?
I can guess...
The UN can be selective as to where they decide to “keep the peace”.
While on vacation last week I read Walid Shoebat’s ‘God’s War on Terrorism - Islam, Prophecy & the Bible’. If I could give a copy to every congressman & senator, I would do it. Islam is the Anti-Christ & until every person on this earth realizes it, we’re not going to deal with ISIL & the rest effectively.
Clearly, the UN peacekeepers were only there to hassle the Israelis and point fingers of blame at them. They weren’t equipped to do much if any real force came from either direction.
I feel bad for the Fijian and Filipino wearers of the blue helmet who were basically rented out by their governments and put in a dangerous situation.
If the UN leaves, who’s gonna sexually abuse the refugees?
They don’t want any witnesses for whatever happens next.
The U.N. is only good for wasting our money. Get the SOB’s the ‘H’ out of our misery.
United Nations. It ain’t ever gonna be true.
UN pretends that the arabs and Israelis are equivalent, but they are only safe if Israel protects them.
I guess the next defining moment will come when Assad has his head sliced off. What will be done then? I mean other than our progressives calling for “dialogue”.
Wow, does that mean if we raise a stink in NYC the UN will leave?
