But polls have consistently shown that tea-party supporters have significant overlap with politically active Evangelical Christians. Cruz is a Southern Baptist Evangelical Christian, and the son of a living Southern Baptist Preacher, he would do fine against Huckabee, and in fact would blow him out of the water.

I still remember when Huckabee announced on his show in 2011 that he wouldn’t be running in 2012. Then, at the end of the show, Ted Nugent came out, and Huckabee played the bass while Ted crooned “I made the pussy purr with the stroke of my hand” while singing “Cat Scratch Fever”. Was one of those moments you don’t forget.

Huck was huffing on his show one night about how offensive it was for some Republicans to call others RINOs. Beings he’s one of them, I would take offense, too, but I am a conservative, unlike RINOs of his stripe.
So, I think we ought to honor Huck’s wishes and coin a new term to describe Republicans of his ilk. I suggest:
