Marie A. Berry, 35, was arrested on Wednesday in Vancouver. She was also charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and two counts of theft in the second degree.
Court documents said Berry had robbed seven businesses, including one bank and one credit union, since April. The suspect description was similar in all seven robberies.
Berry used a stolen SMART car as a getaway car when she robbed a Vancouver Columbia Bank branch in June, investigators said.
Surveillance video showed Berry casing other banks and credit unions within 30 minutes of the Columbia Bank robbery, the probable cause document said.
Ping.
“Dumb?” That is putting it lightly!
I had a dream that I was carrying some plywood across the street and suddenly I was knocked down. I was hit by a “smart car” and the plywood acted as a ramp and it flew quite a distance before crashing and bursting into flames.
I sometimes think it might be a realistic dream.
She probably thought the car was smart enough to get her away since she obviously didn’t have the brains of a sheep.
“Faster Homie, he’s catching us!”
“I can’t, Marge. It’s a Geo”.
“Siri, i need to stage a getaway.”
First, get in your car. Then drive to destination...
*hops in smartcar , follows smartphone directions, ends up at copshop.*
what!? since april? that took a long time.
I’d say she was smarter than the cops since it took them 7 robberies and 5 months to catch her.
Berry sees car. “Oh, good! A SMART car!” She breaks into it. “Car! Take me away!” Car doesn’t respond. “CAR! I said take me away!” Nothing. “WTF! Isn’t this a SMART car?!” Frustrated, she jump starts it and drives away. “Stupid car!”
If I were to rob a bank...the only car available for me to steal and escape in would be a Smart Car. It’s just how I roll. Consequently, I stay on the right side of the law.
Get a frontal with hair done up and maybe not guilty?
Okay, okay, I’ll say it, Well she is a blond!
If I was a robber in an urban area, I’d chose a Smart car to get away too. Because on city streets and alleys, maneuverability & the ability to negotiate tight areas is most important. But like this woman, I’d likely get caught anyway.
I heard the cop who caught her was riding a bike.
Omg! I take it all back! Guilty as hell!!
Lol, just 3 more posts and you would have been home free!!!!
I blame the beer goggles ;-)
