Hundreds of environmentalists plan to "shut down" the New York Stock Exchange Monday to protest the relationship between global warming and Big Business. Scores of protesters marched towards the exchange in lower Manhattan bringing traffic to a standstill by midday Monday for an event dubbed #FloodWallStreet. They planned to march a few blocks north to Wall Street and stage a "sit-in" until forced to leave.

So will the NYPD have the guts to arrest these idiots?
Hey, if we go back to burning cow patties on a campfire, and smearing ourselves in animal fat to keep warm, does that count as fossil fuels? Because the animal isn’t fossilized yet.
The leftists still won’t be happy. Not until they’ve got everyone corralled in giant boxes and totally regulated like in Fahrenheit 451. The prophet of today’s modern age, Ray Bradbury.
While totally ignoring the fact that their Fuhrer ASS Gore has made $100s of million from this scam.
These idiots have this fantasy that at some point before oil and coal, we had this wonderful, environmentally sustained world. It never existed. In the 1800s before oil and coal, people burned wood and eliminated entire forests. There is no viable alternative fuel. If you get rid of oil and coal, you have mass starvation and poverty. Capitalism actually creates more environmentally friendly energy delivery systems. Just look at the West vs. the old Soviet states. Of course, none of this matters to these idiots.
Hippies — As useless now as they ever were.
Ya, thats exactly right. I believe in their small minds itll be someone else’s turn to die and someone else will have to go w/o so they might continue to have. Its really very deranged and selfish.
KABC has a chopper over the scene....lots of kids living in their parents’ basements....
Or shut down the American Lung Association to protest the relationship between CO2 and exhaling.
It's like protesting against bad writing at a library, or protesting against in-line porn pictures at an art museum.
Here is there intent: http://clubfordegrowth.org/
Ha --they're too late! Stock sales left Wall St. years ago --everything's electronic. Cell phones. Internet. Hello? Whether this ignorance is accidental or willful the fact remains that the left lives in a comic book fantasy world.
Nobody really WANTS to drive or heat their homes. It’s BIG BUSINESS making them do it.
I tell that to people all the time about NH. In 1880 New Hampshire was 80% cleared of forests. One hundred years later it was 80% forested. It had been logged and turned into farmland. Now you walk through any patch of woods and see the old rock walls that some farmer in the 1700-1800s piled up using oxen and horses to clear the field. Some of these rocks would require a pretty good sized excavator to move today.
Over the last 10 years and 4 or 5 ice storms and hurricanes, people have realized that you do not want 80’ white pine trees towering over your house. Many people have cleared their property recently.
They must because I don’t know how they find all this free time to do this stuff. Like one reporter found out when the Occupy Wall street terrorists were camped down by Wall street for almost a year: A lot of them were trust fund kids - In other words they were living off of money daddy made off Wall street, the very thing they are protesting.
Some Conservative group looks like they’re going to inhibit flow of people into our nation, and a multi-agency task force is called into action.
Some Leftist group looks like they’re going to try to shut down Wall Street, and there’s no problem at all. It’s just citizens exercising their rights.
Let me know when they start breakin windows. You know. doing something constructive for the economy. Are Obama and DeBlasio with them? They are broken window hacks.
