ARVADA, Colo. Hundreds of students walked out of classrooms around suburban Denver on Tuesday in protest over a conservative-led school board proposal to focus history education on topics that promote citizenship, patriotism and respect for authority, in a show of civil disobedience that the new standards would aim to downplay.
The youth protest in the state's second-largest school district follows a sick-out from teachers that shut down two high schools in the politically and economically diverse area that has become a key political battleground. Student participants said their demonstration was organized by word of mouth and social media. Many waved American flags and carried signs, including messages that read "There is nothing more patriotic than protest."
"I don't think my education should be censored. We should be able to know what happened in our past," said Tori Leu, a 17-year-old student who protested at Ralston Valley High School in Arvada.
The school board proposal that triggered the walkouts in Jefferson County calls of instructional materials that present positive aspects of the nation and its heritage. It would establish a committee to regularly review texts and course plans, starting with Advanced Placement history, to make sure materials "promote citizenship, patriotism, essentials and benefits of the free-market system, respect for authority and respect for individual rights" and don't "encourage or condone civil disorder, social strike or disregard of the law."

Already their ignorance shows. Saying that America’s history was built on “civil protest?” WRONG! Men DIED to give us this country!! They shed blood. It was anything but civil!
There is nothing more patriotic than protest against tyranny. There is nothing less patriotic than protest to promote tyranny. Leftists promote tyranny, because it is only by the power of the state that they are able to impose their ideology on the citizenry.
Our future moronic leaders. No to American history, but yes to the weed. I am glad I am not long of this world but my kids and grandkids will suffer.
Thousands more say “About D*mn time!”
US history is being scrubbed from curricula. The WH ding-a-ling's obsession w/ emptying out the Third World into the US is turning US schools into refugeecamps........w/ big plans to inculcate the savage illiterates w/ hate-America, anti-American ideology....IOW reliable Democrat voters.

REFERENCE--Subversive Texas Textbooks---distributed nationwide--- vilify conservative groups;
Breitbart Texas | 09/10/2014 | Merrill Hope / FR Posted by Rusty0604
In 2006, uber-liberal "Texas Rising" stated its mission: "developing an emerging generation of social justice-minded, informed and engaged leaders is essential to the long-term health of our communities and the development of progressive public policy in Texas."
...a sneak peak at the preliminary Social Studies textbook found including distortions, omissions and half- truths all passing for accurate high school US history...
And there's this gem: "The radical right consists of groups that sometimes gather under the flag of militant anticommunism. Often known as reactionaries, they denounce most forms of government regulation, including progressive taxation and restrictions and industry.Examples of political groups on the radical right are the John Birch Society, the National States & Rights party, The Christian Crusade, and the Tea Party movement."
Strangely enough, these cream puff radicals who abhor police power would not hesitate to use government police power to enforce the changes they desire.

THIRD WORLD INFILTRATION College Board exams changed history answers... revisionist historians developed different answers to the question of what Americas story is about. From their perspective, at the heart of our countrys historylike the history of any other powerful nationlies the pursuit of empire, of dominion over others. At its core, say the revisionists, Americas history is about our capacity for self-delusion, our endless attempts to justify raw power grabs with pretty fairy-tales about democracy. ....
NOTE WELL: This terrifying Third World revisionism is straight out of Third World textbooks---emphasizing the T/W effort to undermine US ntl security for the coming armed takeover.
The conniving T/W uses an ancient formula going back to Greco-Roman times---where savages, barbarians and thieves overrun a bountiful country lusting after its power and riches.
REFERENCE Some 10 years back, Texas schools started used Mexican textbooks for their backward illiterate Spanish-speaking students. Textbooks advocated the Mexican perspective including:
<><> anti-white, anti-capitalist anti-USA viewpoints;
<><> Mexican textbooks falsified US history,
<><> proselytized blood-thirsty La Raza savagery;
<><> using teaching as brainwashing;
<><> inculcating violent separatist, latino supremacy idealogy.

REALITY CHECK A primetime network news segment focused on an "impoverished" latino mother who paid big bucks to get her son coached to take the College Boards---but he was so stupid, he still couldn't pass them. So the C/B summarily "changed" the tests so that Pedro could pass using subversive Third World hate-filled US history.
More evidence that the reconquesta is progressing as planned. Very few Americans understand what is happening and the fraud of “multiculturalism”.
The purpose of a public education is to create good citizens. Good citizens are patriotic, civic minded, and informed participants in community, state, and national affairs.
This is as disturbing to me as anything I have read the last couple of days.
Exile these students because they are beyond hope. Brain dead fools.
Automatic F in the course, no possible make-up. Hope you didn't need that one to graduate kiddies. That ought to cool their zeal.
"I don't think my education should be censored. We should be able to know what happened in our past...
Well, obviously you don't know anything about it. So maybe you ought to sit down and STFU. Seriously. If you knew the country's past well enough to have a valid opinion on what you should or should not be taught about it, you wouldn't need to be taught anything about it.
The students seem to be well indoctrinated in communism.
Refer madness
Dollars to donuts says that one or two “cool” teachers were behind this.
Dollars to donuts says that one or two “cool” teachers were behind this.
Im sure teachers are behind this. This is why 18 year olds shouldn’t be allowed to vote. They are political idiots. Quite frankly 21 year olds in college are too stupid to vote. I live in jeffco and it saddens me to see the californication of my state.
And why exactly weren’t All the Teachers that organized this walk out FIRED?? And every Student that participated should be EXPELLED. Let them finish their studies on their own.
always are. we had an old hag commie back in the early 80s. she hated reagan, free enterprise, etc and instilled it in the hearts of the students. That school used to be one of the top in the nation. Now, because of her and the other leftists, it is first in drugs, pregnancies, and stabbings.
I can just about imagine where this came from having lived in Colorado a while back. California has migrated to that once beautiful state and brought their stupid ideas with them only to now have corrupted the population. The unfortunate part is this is not only happening in Colorado but in other states as well. The school systems have been corrupted as well. I applaud the school board for its effort to bring back history to the curriculum. Next, they have to rid themselves of the brainwashed, be they teachers or students.
