If it doesn’t have a trap door and a noose 20’ above the floor, it’s not foolproof.

You have recurring costs, and potential for outside harm.

Nooses are non-recurring. One and done. OK, maybe the rope needs to be replaced every year.

Plus, no accidental shots shooting anyone else, and no need for a big enclosure to try to reduce that.

Nah, the idea is to break the neck INSIDE, not sever the head. Would be too risky of being like Moslems.

Just take the condemned to a liberal cocktail party tell everyone that he supports Ted Cruz, is anti abortion, believes in a balanced budget, tried to form a conservative PAC and complained when the IRS refused his tax exempt status and watches Fox News. The liberals will beat the guy to death for free, assuming they can get their illegal alien non-Social Security paying maid bring them the sticks to hit him with.

Millions of people get millions of injections every day without incident. Wham bam thank you ma’am.

All the palaver about precision, backups, etc. is an attempt to make the process seem more complex than it is in order to lodge specious arguments against every little element of the process.

Whither the gas chamber?

Sooner or later a method will be devised to execute without the use of needles and then the coddles of criminals will be out of luck.

I attended a lecture a few years ago by one of Australia’s last hangmen (the death penalty hasn’t been used here since the 1960s). He was trained in the UK by their experts (some of whom carried out dozens of hangings, one did hundreds). He claimed that once they got the method right by the late 1800s, there were basically no mistakes. No cases where it went wrong - as long as it was the professionally trained experts doing it.

In the UK, it was basically a family business and they took pride in their work.

My Vet charged me 65 bucks to put down my dog a while back. Surely the trash on Oklahoma death row should not cost much more. Lets say we would have to double or triple the dose, then we should still get it done for under 200 dollars or so, plus mileage.

Why don’t they just put these guys down the same way they do at the pound with strays? The left never has a problem with the methods used there.

Nooses are Waaaacist! Consider the ethnic makeup of death row.

So just wrap the wire rope with leather, gives a little bit of padding but still does the job and wont break.
