A firing squad still makes more sense. Dead is dead...no matter how you do it.
You could save money by just moving a Liberian into the cell with the condemned.
How much was spent for the popcorn machine?
Especially useful at less than $.45 per round !
How about a half dozen M1 Garand rifles, each with a 30:06 round, one of which is a dud?
Cheaper and reliable. Works 100% of the time. Fast and humane.
Gas chamber is out. Lethal injection has turned into a liberal nightmare. Nobody uses Old Sparky anymore.
Put a bullet into the heart of the matter and get the Job done.
BTW, if you are selected for a jury and don't want to go through the trial, on your way into the court discuss your favorite methods of execution with your fellow jurists. I did that once the guy decided to plead guilty and we got to go home.
Can't wait to give 'er a test run.
Hanging has the additional Judeo-Christian stigma of indicating someone who has been cursed by God. You can bet that the libs will bring that up (and ignore Islamic hangings, which are way crueler).
Good backup procedure would be a hammer....
LOL, that would be highly non PC, but I am pretty sure it would work just fine. I hope that POS MOFO who cut that lady's head off gets a taste of it.
Maybe do firing squad....east of the Mississippi...and hanging...west of the Mississippi.
Good Lord; just go back to the rope, if they are afraid it will break just use wire rope.
Just whack them with Heroin...no pain, no nothing.
I like the idea of public executions. Let the attenders decide what should be done with the criminal (other than releasing him) before his execution, and then let the public administer the torture and killing blow. Public executions would be a great way for communities to find something in common, and they would be a great way to demonstrate to potential criminals what their fates will be if they choose deviant choices.
“The renovations and protocol rewrite were ordered by DOC Director Robert Patton after the April 29 execution of Clayton Lockett, who writhed on the gurney, mumbled and tried to lift his head before his execution was eventually called off. Lockett died 43 minutes after the procedure began.
Lockett had been convicted of shooting Stephanie Nieman, 19, with a sawed-off shotgun and watching as two accomplices buried her alive in 1999.”
I prefer this - slow and painful, not swift and painless.
Oh, I’m proud to be an Okie from . . ..
This will do.

I bet I could design an awesome death chamber. Red paint, gas flames along the walls, screams and fiendish laughter piped in through high-definition speakers, and the executioners would be in clown suits. Sort of like a Democratic party convention.
