As we reported here on NewsBusters, during a recent Morning Joe appearance Chuck Todd twice said that Dem candidate for senator from Kentucky Alison Lundergan Grimes "disqualified herself" for refusing to say whether she voted for Barack Obama for president.
On Chris Hayes' MSNBC show tonight, Todd said he was "sick to his stomach" when he saw that his comment had been used in an ad for Mitch McConnell. But interestingly, instead of blaming the McConnell campaign, Todd tagged Grimes, saying she had "invited this on herself" by her refusal to answer the simple question.

Interesting: Chuck Todd ‘sick to stomach’ that McConnell ad uses his statement that Grimes ‘disqualified herself’ by refusing to say if she voted for Obama. But Todd says Grimes “invited this on herself” by refusing to answer. Ping to Today show list.
This seems so crazy. It seems like a simple question. You ask the Democrat nominee for an elective office, if she had voted for the Democrat presidential candidate in the last election, and she can’t answer the question???
I have a hard time believing that ANY politician would have trouble answering such a simple question.
Did you only mean to think it and not say it out loud, lib?
LOL. Chuck Todd is such a little *itch.
Nothing less than complete allegiance to the one is tolerated.
Upchuck, sick to your stomach?
Could be Ebola.
21 day quarantine for you—see you after Election Day.
Poor Chuckie Todd. A mean evil Republican uses what he himself said in a political ad????? OMG. Poor Chuckie..............Go home to mommy, and have your milk and cookies............
I’m sick to my stomach that Chuck Todd is on TV.
IS Chuck Todd a closet schizophrenic? Sure makes him sound like one.
The Law of Unintended Consequences.
BS. The only thing that makes him sick to his stomach is the sight of a naked woman.
Well Chuckie, we all get sick to our stomachs every time you open your pathetic pie hole to spew your liberal drivel, so let’s just call it even.
Everyone in the building and in TV land knew she voted for Obama.... She was afraid of the obvious follow up questions to saying yes to that.
I saw here goofy ad where she is shooting skeet like Obama and says, “I’m not Obama”. Isn’t that the same thing as sayin, “I’m not a witch”?
Todd’s going to make “Meet the Press’ work again...
I guess since he said it on MSNBC he didn’t think too many people would end up seeing it. LOL.
Betcha she’s calling him “F CHUCK” tonight too!
Just my humble opinion...but her advisers must have sat down and covered the top hundred anticipated questions, and this was probably NOT one of the questions she expected. She probably stood there for a couple of seconds, and just thought it was best not to answer the question.
You have to wonder if the truth was “no”, but she actually didn’t vote at all. That would have provoked the public sentiment to think....two elections and she dodged both? Something isn’t right here.
