Dumbasses should “get one” - if you didn’t serve in the NYCPD that means a complaint and trip to the Trail Room.

Just a word of caution on the title. A version of this story on drudge specifically says the video does not show if the police were in the apartment.

In any case it is pure selfishness to wear gloves to protect one’s self and then deliberately pass that risk onto the public.

And it’s raining so any fluids on those gloves could be washed through the “mesh” trash can onto the sidewalk. But ... not to worry, the city says its citizens have nothing to worry about.

If they wore a face mask then they were very likely in the apartment, imho. Not that merely wearing a face mask and gloves with street clothes would have been effective, if there was an actual risk of infection present there.

Shoes not covered, I’d think that would be a biggie. Absent-mindedly touching their faces, that’s infected at least one among medical personnel.

Damp weather, cool. Not sure if that would make any difference had they tracked live virus out on their shoes.

Given the full biohazard suit treatment given to Duncan’s apartment, this does appear inadequate. Duncan was quite ill whereas this man was not quite to that point, so maybe this was not quite the snafu that it could have been.

See, NYC? There you guys go with the missteps that are stupid in hindsight. Not so easy, is it?

Certainly doesn’t adhere to any hazmat, bio-chem “protocols” I’ve ever been trained in. If the Dallas nurses were at fault for not following non-existent protocols then where does that put NYC? Close of the rathole until the problem runs it’s logical course.

If rats carry Ebola the same way fruit bats do, these cops may have just killed a bunch of people.

Hey - Deblasio and Cuomo have told us how ready NY is - I think we should trust them on this. (If I need the /s, we are in real trouble...).

Let’s cut them some slack. They probably looked through the entire apartment (guns drawn, of course) and didn’t see any germs lurking around, so they know it’s clear. /s

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

Those two NYPD Bozos are trying to kill everyone in sight as well as themselves.
