It was a sad day last night in Kansas when the Kansas City Royals lost the World Series in Game 7. Today, the GOP in "The Sunflower State" have something to celebrate as early voting results show positive turnout from Republicans.
Of the 153,436 early votes cast so far this election 82,739 or 54% were cast by Republicans. In comparison only 47,468, or 31% were cast by Democrats. The remaining votes were cast by unaffiliated or libertarian voters.
The blood red state of Kansas has the Republican incumbents for governor and U.S. Senate trailing in the polls. Governor Sam Brownback and Senator Pat Roberts have been in the spotlight of one of the most competitive races this season.
Read more from Townhall on how Kansas has the GOP scrambling here.
Clay Barker, Kansas Republican Party Executive Director said this in an email:
"Early voting is turning out as our voter data models predicted and is consistent with early voting patterns in 2010 and 2012. Republican voters are building a substantial lead over Democrats that is increasing with each passing day. There were no October surprises."
Unlike the Royals, Kansas Republicans think they can pull it off in their own Game 7 this Tuesday. Momentum is building as big names stump for Senator Roberts including Senator Mike Lee (R-AZ) who made a speech at a rally in Topeka, Kansas, and former presidential candidate, Mitt Romney, who was in Overland Park, Kansas, earlier this week.
Good; I want to see that phony Independent go down about more than anyone else.
Only way to stop government funded vote early and vote often votes is to make the line long. Most LIV won’t have the impetuous to perceiver in line when so many other opportunities await at the 7 11.
How do they know the party of early voters?
Kansas has two Republican wings; the ruling conservatives and the purged moderates. They’re still registered as Republicans I doubt the moderates are trooping to Roberts and Brownback.
If they are voting for Ormandy they are fools and not Republicans. ANY vote that keeps Reid as majority leader is a vote for evil.
Not arguing with you. All I'm saying is one vote by a registered Republican is not necessarily a vote for Roberts and Brownback. It's going to be a long night next Tuesday.
They’re going to NEED. Strong lead to have a chance to overcome the rat election fraud that’s underway.
“How do they know the party of early voters?”
Most often from voter lists from the primaries. Even in open primaries they have a list of who voted and in which party primary.
If you chose a Republican ballot in the primary, the odds are pretty good that you will vote that way in the general election.
A less accurate method is the area the voter is located. Some weighting math is then used to extrapolate how many tend to vote for each party in that area based on historical voting records.
Yes, I agree on both counts. The three key states are KS, NC, and LA. Two of those 3=GOP Senate. NH, NM are gravy.
If the GOP made a stink about fraudulent voting and sent some vote thieves to jail this Democrat sport would end.
GOP doesn’t steal votes, but the fact that they don’t prosecute Dems that enjoy being thieves means the GOP is gutless and deserves what they get.
As expensive as campaigns are these days, GOP should have legal strike forces, and strike fear of jail time into the lying Dem pigs.
BTW, in Montgomery Co., OH, early votes are so far disproportionately mail ins vs walk ins ( the latter tend to be heavily Dem and is down significantly from previous elections).
Every Sec of State can release voter info which includes the party of those who have voted...names...addresses etc also
>>Even in open primaries they have a list of who voted and in which party primary.<<
Not in my state. You are given ballots for both parties and vote one and toss the other. No record is made of how you voted, and registration is not party-affiliated. You’re just registered to vote.
I realize other states handle it differently, but that’s why we don’t see similar reports of early voting here.
Unfortunately, early voting in Kentucky goes all the way to election day, so there won’t be easy cues to whether conservatives are going to abandon McConnell or not.
In that case they would base early voting results from the other method using demographic area records.
Like it not, everyone that votes is on a list accessible thru public records.
Vote Doug Robinson!!!!
Oh, you have that right. In KS, there are a bunch of fools in the KC area who will vote for the likes of Kathleeen Sebelius and Dennis Moore, and still call themselves Republicans.
Could be good news, I know quite a few people that are just not happy with 0bama and the democrat party. All plan on voting accordingly.
I just checked several local medias and not one word about the Kansas Republican party’s complaint against the democrat party, having Orman signs at official democrat HQ’s, which is illegal for them to do.
Figures the local medias will ignore this story because it ties Orman to the democrat party, much of what Pat Roberts and conservatives have said all along. The whole Orman campaign is just one big deception. I hope the dems get trounced all over the USA.
