I have to agree.

I worked for a man once that was extremely intelligent and a great leader. I asked him once why he didn’t run for some office. His answer...”Why would I do that? It’s a losing proposition.” But he did influence politics in a different and positive way.

Blue Austin has a blood-red body politic moving in.

What say? If Austin goes red and Texas goes constitutional carry, I'm putting Gone To Texas on my front door!

There was a lot of GTT nailed on front doors 170 years ago, and many more today with business heading for the last bastion of freedom here. But there are jackboots, and we’re in the process of moving them elsewhere.

What if the Obama administration policy of allowing an influx of tens of thousands of illegal immigrants into America this summer and subsequently dispersing them was ... in effect a form of biological warfare?”(continued)

someone is finally thinking logically. Same with ebola

Good for him, but I’d rather he was in elected office again.

***
Same here.

The Rats got rid of him by restructuring his district.

In my long career in education I KNEW that I would never, ever want to be an administrator or in charge of ANYone. I did a lot of planning and curriculum work and was MY boss's A-1, go-to person but BE IN CHARGE?
Never.

Part of being in charge was dealing with the pride, egos, whiney-ness, spoiled-bratiness and sloth of others. The whiners, etc., were only 1% of everyone but they would have annoyed me to no end. I would have had a tendency to be a bit...harsh.

I preferred to work where I could do the most good. And I did and I was successful. We instructors were rated by students. I always got outstanding reviews.
