It will be the person that has a solid support from

conservatives, independents, common sense Americans.

Perry is essentially copying Scott Walker. This could be interesting. Think about it.

You have:

Moderate governors: Krispy, Kasich

More conservative governors: Perry, Walker

Even more conservative senators: Paul, Cruz

Not sure we have seen something like that before. Perry’s main opponent for a similar vote share would appear to be Walker, so perhaps he’s trying to plunder Cruz/Paul for votes. I don’t think it will work.

Rick, you are really putting your neck out for that promise.

And, I'm sorry, Huckabee WON'T win.

Nope. Perry is a big government liberal. He doesn't match my list except for pro-life (questionable, given the STD vaccination), and pro-gun.

I agree with this completely.

3 sitting US senators have been elected President, all were incompetent or worse. Being a chief executive and being a bullish*t artist are different skill sets.

Even losing Presidential candidates sitting in the Senate have been poor - McGovern, Dole, Kerry, McCain.

A governor or a flag officer would be a much better choice than Senator Anybody.

Perry is NOT conservative. Walker might get my vote. Perry won't.

“I don’t think this man wants to go down as the absolute worst president in the United States — although the jury is still out on that,”

::::::::::::::

Jury out?? Hardly. He won the title long ago.

You are calling Paul a conservative? No knock on Rand Paul, I certainly don't see it this way.

Too, these Governors have a record of signing bills, legislation, in Walker's case facing down a Union.

The Senators have a record of no bills passed, they have acted nobly. That is certain in that filibuster and standing up against the Healthcare bill. Still, I can't call the Governors less conservative by any means because Walker and Perry are actually getting things done, bringing jobs to their state, signing pro-life legislation. They actually have to work with the government, both-sides and this is not always ideal.

Clinton was a governor. So was Carter. Both were bad presidents, aside from their flaming liberalism.

Governorship is pretty meaningless.

Nice try Rick, but Obama already has it locked up.

Hands down he’s the worst President in our nation’s history.

IMO, Bill Clinton takes second for being a common thug criminal

Carter, picks up the slot left open by Clinton, third or second.

If you take Johnson as well, you’re looking at fifty years of Democrat Presidents who were absolutely despicable.

What a track record the Democrats have.

Then you get some of our wankers who couldn’t get out of their own way, let alone the nation’s.

>>Obama would cement a legacy of being the worst president in American history if he moves forward on executive amnesty.<<

He already cemented a legacy of being a traitorous muzzie lovin, racist America hating Kenyan. Geez!

He is not nor will ever be my president...never!

I don’t necessarily agree with Perry, but I could live with a governor, as long as they are a conservative.

Pence, Palin, Jindal....

Works for me.

While I don’t completely disagree with you, the one thing the Governor’s office is good for, is claiming you have executive experience. If you’ve served a term or two as a governor, you have a record, you have a staff, and it’s generally easy to see how you governed, effectively or not.

You know, if Obola carries out his threat to carry out illegal amnesty, Texas will be (is) on the ramparts of this invasion from Mexico. This puts Perry in a good position in a war against Obola in the forefront of the American people...just before the next presidential election. This is just what Perry was hoping for.

~~~Ted Cruz~~~
Right now, he’s my first choice too but I could votew in the general for several different ones that have been mentioned. As long as Romney keeps his sorry a$$ out of it.
I certainly would support Cruz, but deep down I think he would do more good as Majority Leader, to keep the POTUS in line.
