I am so sick of these I am intolerant of everything in my food" people.

I even have a friend that has decided that gluten whatever is the cause of all sorts of his ailments. Of course, before that, several other things were the cause. At least he eats meat, just make sure no gluten crap gets near it.

The vegan types we know are all sickly. The comment about no strength is spot on.

I don't eat the flesh of dead animals and I am healthier and stronger than I've ever been (accounting for age) I surf, scuba dive, hike the mountains and just have never felt better. I'm not a militant ass about it like 99.9 percent vegans but I absolutely refuse to eat the rotting corpses of slaughtered, suffering animals whose last moments life were filled with fear, confusion and agony - my philosophy is you are what you eat.

As far as not getting any protein, you can get that from dozens of different plants - I crave donuts, hamburgers, pizza, spaghetti, cherry pie, candy, cookies all kinds stuff but there are wonderful substitutes for eggs and butter.

About 1700 the Sikhs got sick and tired of being martyred by Muslims and decided to fight back. Part of the guru's instructions to them on how to go about this was to abandon their vegetarianism so they would grow strong and be able to fight effectively.

How many do you know, and exactly how are they sick? What are their ailments? Please be specific.

Gluten and lactose.

When we were kids, no one had problems with those "drugs". We all drank whole milk and had soup and sandwich with Wonder Bread. We also ate cakes with that awful white flour. No one was sick. No one was fat. No one was weak.

Suppers were meat, potato and vegies.

Look at the shelves in your supermarket...

Folks....you've been conned.

I have a gluten allergy too- and yes it can develop late in life.

But I just don’t eat gluten. I don’t care if anyone else does. If I hear someone complain of the same symptoms I had, I will suggest it to them- but its up to them if they want to try it or not.

The ones that have, have thanked me for it- that’s why I do it.
