Progressivism's Last Call

Which brings us to attempt three -- the “Transformation,” I guess we’ll call it. The flaw here arose from the selection of a completely uneducated and possibly ineducable candidate to carry it out. Barack Obama checked all the boxes and touched all the bases during his career without, it seems, ever learning a single thing worth knowing. The tell with this man was the fact that he utterly lacks the humility that has marked men of wisdom since Confucius and Socrates. According to Obama, he was “a better speechwriter than his speechwriters,” a better economist, better banker, better planner, and so on down the line to poodle groomer, than anyone living. Obama committed the greatest crime against intelligence: he didn’t know what he didn’t know.

Paradoxically, this grotesque flaw served the country well. In his abject blindness, Obama raged ahead with “transformation” with no hesitation or sense of caution. People who actually knew things would have been more careful. Not Obama, who truly believed that he could operate the way the generalissimos did in his adopted country of Indonesia -- give his orders, flick the fly whisk, and move on. He knew nothing of history or the economic record -- or even that there was such a thing as a record. He had no Plan B’s or fallbacks in case anything went wrong -- what could possibly be the point? He was Obama -- what could go wrong?

*snip*

But the Barackian Transformation unfolded on the public stage, under the full spotlight, overseen by one of the purest narcissists ever to practice politics on the North American continent. Every move was telegraphed, every effort underlined, every last syllable amplified, every gesture outlined in neon. And every last inch of it has collapsed.

Bingo! They will lie low and lick their wounds for awhile, wait for folks to forget or for the voting block to reach an even lower level of competency, and they’ll be back with a vengence.

I’ll tell you how soon it will be back — 2016.

REPACKAGED: WE’ll hear things like, “Obama had some of the right ideas. He was just not very effective at getting things done. We need someone that can work with others and get it done — like HILLARY.

The narcissist is most dangerous when truth is thrust upon him and he can no longer escape it. This is Obama for the next two years. . and he is capable of anything. . including declaring martial law. ..which is why he wants to start an Ebola outbreak in this country. Large gatherings of people, like what happens during an election for instance, will be banned until further notice. . .until the "experts" at the CDC give us the thumbs up. A country run by experts. . like that Grubar fellow . . .or that CDC head Tom Frieden. . . that is their dream.

That's why Progressives speak in terms of what is "sustainable" and what isn't. What is "sustainable" is only to be divined by the vaulted "expert" class. They could care less about what is "legal" or "Constitutional," which are only the concerns of the "stupid people" who demand freedom. What we must finally understand about Progressives, who long to be our unelected masters, is that they have deemed our stupid demand for freedom to be no longer "sustainable."

I am not so optimistic. After FDR and LBJ all of the structures they erected still stand. Even Reagan couldn't excise them. They can be cut back- Reagan and Eisenhower did that- but the structures are here to stay and the level of corruption and control has a new minimum level. The power in the presidency now is far greater now than it was under LBJ.

I think much now depends on the military which has shown signs of having a line that it will not cross, even with the purged and replaced command structure. That is why leftists always fear the military and strive to replace it with a parallel military under their direct control. That parallel military is another one of those Progressive structures that will not go away- TSA, DEA, DOE, DOE, EPA, FEMA, your local police force armed and trained by the Feds and all Federal agencies have their armed enforcers with SWAT teams.

The one explanation that covers it all is he is a MOSLEM. Progressivism/communism and Islam match up very well until the opposition is vanquished and then the two will sort things out between themselves in an even bloodier sequence.

“He’s not done trashing the country yet”

Exactly ..!!!

And .. the reason he’s trashing it in the first place is because ...... he was raised by Communists, Marxists, Socialists and Islam. With that instruction, comes the belief that America is the Great Satan of the world and everybody should be happy to see it die.

However, our president forgot one important thing .. WE ARE AMERICANS. We’re not pawns for his little experimental game of who can trash the country first. We have a president who is ignorant of what America is and who we are as a people.

I have no hope of his changing his views .. they have been ingrained into his soul by family, friends and teachers.

Yes you are right,,,as you are aware, many immigrants who came here legally resent those who snuck across and broke the law mightily. Indeed, they vote more for the GOP, I believe I read somewhere....

But what I was referring to was the myriad stories about how the GOP MUST pass immigration reform or else they would NEVER win another election; they would NEVER win the Hispanic vote; they would NEVER do anything ever again unless the GOP CHANGED.

What is missing now is: How must the dumbles CHANGE or be forever marginalized.

Now I personally hope they never win another election for any office. But the treatment of theim losing and the GOP losing is totally different.

REPLY FROM A LEFTIST TO “PROGRESSIVISM’S LAST CALL”
(Opposing opinions requested to this drivel.)
“Congratulations on your election-day victory.  I would caution you to enjoy it while you can as the death of Progressivism (as Mark Twain said of his reported death) has been greatly exaggerated.  What conservatives and right-wing reactionaries cannot understand is that Progressivism has long ago won the day and we are not ever going back to 1910 regardless of how much they wish it.  This is because most people wanted it that way and still do.  Just a short list of Progressive policies include the eight-hour day, the five day week, unemployment compensation, workmen’s compensation, banning of child labor, social security and Medicare(all opposed by the conservatives of the day, BTW).  Do you think any of these (and many others) are ever going to be repealed?  My advice to the right is: I wouldn’t try it!

“Lastly, as a keen observer of the political scene, you are aware that everything was against the Dems in this election, from the states that they were defending to the fact that the party who does not have the presidency in the last mid-term election of a two-term president always loses big to the great motivator of the GOP base, the gut-busting hatred of Barack Obama.  In two years, this will all be quite different (especially because the electorate will be completely different demographically as the GOP base continues to shrink) and the Dems are in for a big win.  Then we can return to moving things forward again, thank goodness!”
