Why don’t you wish with one hand, Chuck, as you and the rest of the beltway boys fantasize about your hero.

But you’ll have to take a dump in the other.

And we’ll see which hand gets full first.

I wish he was only horribly gullible and narcissistic. He’d do less harm.

Its my understanding that China doesn’t “Cut” anything “drastically by 2030”, only “peak” in 2030.

The US, however would have to cut drastically to 2005 levels.

Based on current growth rate, by 2030, CO2 output from China will be 2X or 3X US output.

Worst. Legacy. Ever.

Thank you for referencing that article Bettyprob. Please bear in mind that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

As mentioned in related threads, the MAJOR constitutional problem with federal climate control is that the states have never amended the Constitution to grant the feds the power to deal with climate control issues.

So in the absence of express constitutional authority to deal with climate issues, lawless Obama is wrongly trying to use his constitutional power to negotiate treaties as a back door to force federal climate control on the states. The problem is that using treaty power to unconstitutonally expand federal government powers has already been condemned by both Thomas Jefferson and the Supreme Court as evidenced by the following excerpts.

Of course. We hamstring our economy by cutting emissions now and China promises to start cutting in 15 years. What could possibly go wrong??

His solipsistic petulance coupled with a nasty vindictive streak are what make him dangerous.

Not surprising that Chuck Toady didn’t explain that China had to basically not change their behavior at all. They can keep increasing their coal fired plant emissions while we will bring ours offline.

Sounds like Obama’s idea of “success”.

"United States and China announced they had “negotiated a sweeping agreement to cut emissions drastically by 2030..."

America for her size is among those countries with the cleanest air....China on the other hand for her size is wayyyyy behind the rest of the world. Wonder how badly BHO was out smarted by the little slant eyes......again.

With Obama, Russia and China are SURE to keep their promises.

EXACTLY. How China calculates CO2 can be highly skewed and subject ot interpretation. Plus, verificatin will be near to impossible in a country that may or may not account for all combustion sources.

On the other hand, how better to weaken your enemy by limiting their industrial output via imposed emissions limits.

Obola is the master of stupidity.

Not only different dates, but two completely different things: Chuck can't read or is an idiot, or both:

Here is the aggreement:

Today, the Presidents of the United States and China announced their respective post-2020 actions on climate change, recognizing that these actions are part of the longer range effort to transition to low-carbon economies, mindful of the global temperature goal of 2℃. The United States intends to achieve an economy-wide target of reducing its emissions by 26%-28% below its 2005 level in 2025 and to make best efforts to reduce its emissions by 28%. China intends to achieve the peaking of CO2 emissions around 2030 and to make best efforts to peak early and intends to increase the share of non-fossil fuels in primary energy consumption to around 20% by 2030. Both sides intend to continue to work to increase ambition over time.

The US has to make cuts by 2025 (to 2005 levels), while china doesn't have to make any cuts until 2030, at which point they can stay at 2030 levels.

Good Deal! Close clean US coal plants and crank out dirty Chinese coal plants.

Pure evil in our face with NBC acting as chief accomplice. Certainly the higher power bills will delight the public.

History strongly suggests that he got groomed for this role, perhaps even decades ago.

He’s an obedient figurehead, not a free agent. If he were a free agent there would be hope.

Any company effected by rules that are created through this “agreement” should sue the Obama administration, starting with the fact that THIS never was ratified through the U.S. Senate.

I heard this on NPR this morning and noticed the China action date was five years later than ours.

Hmm...that would put it into the second Clinton administration. Chelsea's. ;-)

Does signing an agreement about an imaginary problem rate another Nobel?
China and Russia have no problem signing a Global Warming treaty...why should they.....it's not a problem.
