FBI Sends 100 Agents to Ferguson Ahead of Grand Jury Decision (Fergidishu)

The FBI has sent about 100 agents to the St. Louis area to help deal with any problems that could arise from the grand jury decision in the police shooting of Ferguson teenager Michael Brown.

In addition to the FBI, other federal agencies have also mobilized staffers to get to St. Louis today, sources told ABC News.

A decision by the grand jury is expected soon, but St. Louis authorities said today that the grand jury is still meeting. The panel will decide whether or not to indict Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson for shooting Brown, who was unarmed, on Aug. 9.

THing is, the minute the riots start and if agents or National Guard get killed, the entire planet will see it in full. No matter what, there will be little Christian forgiveness towards anyone who harms the Guard or agents.

If I had my way I would order a practice of containment instead of trying to arrest rioters. Just let them burn the place down until they become too exhausted.

Missouri Task Force 1 prepared for civil unrest in Ferguson
Missouri Task Force 1 has rostered a full 80-person team in case there is civil unrest in Ferguson, Mo. and help is needed.

Battalion Chief Gale Blomenkamp said Task Force 1 has not been contacted or asked to roster a team.

“Just like everyone else in the state of Missouri and a lot of places around the country are leaning forward in their preparations, we’re preparing for possible civil unrest,” Blomenkamp said.

Blomenkamp said there is a small chance the task force would actually be deployed to Ferguson, but that it never hurts to be prepared.

St. Louis authorities said today that the grand jury is still meeting

They only meet on Thursdays, so my guess is we still have weeks (or months) before they announce anything. Perhaps Christmas eve or somewhere around then would be my guess.
