It's crazy if you had to deal with dems/liberals since the last election. It was pretty much a rejection of what they deeply believe but they are blind to seeing just how bad their ideology has failed everyone, just like you describe has happened in Austin. There’s a fellow down in central Texas who I think carries a gun whenever he goes out in public - even places that have a ‘30-30’ sign. Hangs out with guys that open carry on the streets. His name is Art Acevedo. Austin cops probably should bring him in for questioning.
He turned out to have a long history of crime and mental illness.
