EXCLUSIVE:HOUSE GOP LEADERS TRICK 216 HOUSE REPUBLICANS INTO ACCIDENTALLY SUPPORTING OBAMA'S EXECUTI
BREITBART ^ | 7 December 2014 | by MATTHEW BOYLE

Posted on 12/07/2014 4:45:15 PM PST by gwgn02

In a lengthy interview on Friday afternoon, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) exposed how House Speaker John Boehner, Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Majority Whip Steve Scalise strengthened President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty with procedural trickery former Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber would envy—and they did it all in the name of pushing a bill that they told Republicans would block Obama’s executive amnesty. What’s more is that a series of interviews and recent developments indicate that Boehner’s gambit here is placing several of his top lieutenants—including at least two committee chairmen—at political risk of serious primary challenges just a few months after newly elected Rep. Dave Brat (R-VA) beat now former House Majority Leader Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) in a Republican primary. Gohmert said most members had no idea what they were actually voting for when 219 members—216 of which were Republicans—approved a measure, H.R. 5759, first put forward by Rep. Ted Yoho (R-FL), but subsequently dramatically altered by leadership officials in the Rules Committee process.

In other countries, European countries, politicians have wound up decorating lamp posts.

I earnestly pray to see exactly that before I die.

Personally, I could live without it. I don't want to go to Europe.

Any congress can repeal a law previously enacted.

Do they want to?

Do Senate Republicans have the chance of shutting this bill down?
*******
From the article:(half way down the page) In one of the videos he said short term until Jan.

Gohmert said that what the House should do is pass a short-term Continuing Resolution—killing the omnibus appropriations bill altogether—with the language blocking Obama’s amnesty in it. That’s something Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), the incoming chairman of the Senate Steering Committee, has pushed for too.

“I think we ought to do a short-term CR but include the defund language in it,” Gohmert said. “That’s what we ought to do next week. And when I say ‘short-term’ I don’t mean March. As you know, the president’s already got a facility in Virginia and is hiring a thousand people to start issuing those permits. This can’t wait until March. We have to do this now.”

I'll vote for a conservative.

I read through the entire thing. Typical republican backstabbing.

This part at the end was also important.

And on Fox News on Sunday, Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL)—the incoming chairman of the Budget Committee—said that “there is no way” any members of the House or Senate will be able to actually read “this huge bill” when leadership introduces it. Leadership has been keeping the omnibus secret until now and, still as of Sunday evening, hasn’t introduced it. “There’s going to be thousands of pages passed maybe Monday night in the House,” Sessions said.

It they do a last minute submittal of the omnibus bill, all it takes is ONE SINGLE REPRESENTATIVE to force them to read it on the floor. (twice I believe).

The congresscritters can't claim ignorance on it, because they all have that power. It only takes one single objection to the request for uninimous consent to dispense with the reading of it. If they do not object, then they are lying to you when they claim it was beyond their power to do anything at all about it. Absolute lies.

We need to stop allowing these low life to lie to us.

I can't express them because I would be permanently BANNED from FR..........., but those words remain on the tip of my tongue and I WILL NOT FORGET.

Those b'tards can now do anything they have a mind to do, they know WE will forgot (or most will). In two years this will be OLD news and they will have another Crisis for us to fuss about, while they pull the old slight of hand and pass something worse.

I don't regret voting for the R's, as right now there is no other choice, and I still have to HOPE.

And Wall Street wants its piece of the pie in the omnibus bill. Huffpo title (below) is more appropriate though.

Is there no DAVID who can slay Goliath? Are there no more honest persons left, one who has the nerve to take them on?

Are there no more Mr. Smiths left? Were there ever may be a better question. They all seem to sell their SOULS when they get there, and have no regret in doing so.

I would hate to be them and have to answer before GOD for what they and are doing, horrible position to be in.

My hope is on Ted Cruz being that David.

That’s all well and good but then who do people vote for? someone has to win. You don’t get that one has to do the best they can in a voting booth. If we all quit voting then Obama can declare himself dictator. So that’s not option. I say time to create a third party.

kI have to say that FR has been a lot more enjoyable place since most of the biggest frauds went silent recently. Their silence is both welcome and stands as proof of what they were from the get go. Liberals.

Several of us on this thread alone would be given public apologies after the crap we endured for the crime of believing the evidence in front of us, but we all know that will never happen. We were SO correct about this we predicted it to the millimeter.

It wasn’t an act of psychic prowess. It wasn’t a case of deductive detective work that would cause Watson to leave Sherlock for our employ. We simply chose to look at the facts...which is what ANY conservative is supposed to do...and act on them based on what we learn. And none of those facts were hidden, hard to find or debatable. It was all wide open, in your face liberalism.

I understand that people make mistakes. We all do. They crucified the last guy that didn’t. But there’s one HELL of a difference between a mere mistake and openly and ACTIVELY campaigning against the very things Free Republic was about for close to 15 years.

They openly condemned principle calling people that refused to abondon it ‘purists’ as if that were somehow bad, vile and unpatriotic, SOLELY to get more openly liberal republicans into power and INCREASE that liberal power.

They ctively and openly demanded that more conservative candidates be abandoned for these liberals because in their own words, ‘WINNING” was what mattered most. Not WHAT they would win. Winning for the sake of it, “No matter what”.

Look at the result of that. What CAN they say now? They got a record landslide of liberal republicans and the ONLY thing they have done since the election is to push amnesty, attack the conservatives in the party and OPENLY discuss how to give obama what he wants while keeping idiot GOP voters on the reservation/make it palletable.

We all know who these people are. They are conspicuous by their absence. I’m sure they merely bide their time and will crash back into the site the nanosecond the GOP does something that could be confused for ‘right’, trumpeting it as the modern moon landing of most significant thins EVAH!

And when they do show up folks, give them the respect you’d give any other enemy of everything you hold dear. Because that what these people quite literally are.

Where’s the sarcasm tag. Jefferson Davis was a democrat and would have supported LBJ in 1960 and 1964 if he had been alive.
