Read Perry’s book. It might change your mind a little. I used to buy into that RINO stuff in early 2012 but I don’t believe it anymore. I think the guy is a good decent American who will never try to take my gun and also wants to give the states back their rights. Is he tough on amnesty? No but the only one who is is Cruz. And I like Ted too.

Nope. I had to live with that liberal bastard in the State. I know everything I need to know about him by his ACTIONS. Not his words.

I won't vote for that liberal bastard. Not in the primary or in the general election.

Well I can’t diss on you as that’s how I feel about Jeb and Christie. Won’t vote for either one of them for any reason. They are my line in the sand.

You, like many other Perry supporters, fail to realize one thing. Conservatives don't dislike Perry because they don't know enough about him. We don't like him because we know all about him. The man is a liberal and we do not support liberals.

Is he tough on amnesty? No

Thank you for admitting that. Most of your fellow Perry supporters continually deny it.

re: why would I never vote for Martinez

She's done nothing to distinguish herself on the national level. I can't recall her EVER speaking up about stopping and reversing the invasion of the US. Why didn't she do something forceful when the hordes of Central Americans overwhelmed the US last summer? Add to that, I'm not about to trust anyone anymore who doesn't have a track record of voting constitutional conservative, preferably in DC.

I know the bible says that the poor are always with us but I don’t even need that to know that poverty is inevitable. Very simply, in a free market system some are bound to do far, far better than others so those with the lowest incomes will be defined as in poverty even though they may be doing well in absolute terms. On the other hand in a NONfree market system the government will make everyone live in poverty except for a few at the top.

In my opinion, Perry has trouble speaking in complete sentences in front of people, as in a speech or in a debate. He can’t seem to find the words to make complete sentences. In my opinion, he also has a physical “tic” that isn’t controlled. I was in his presence numerous times through the years, before he ran for president, and believe I am correct in my observations. He was a good governor but, in my opinion, I don’t think he is presidential material due to the problems I believe he has. A president is out front speaking over and over to citizens and to heads of government world wide. Correct, complete thought, speech is a must and I don’t believe he has it. I am not comfortable with the idea of Perry as president.

Ted Cruz. on the other hand, can speak extemporaneously without a single lapse of complete thought/ language. He would control the situation with heads of foreign governments. I would feel comfortable with Cruz as president. Also, wouldn’t you like to see him debate Hillary Clinton? :o)

Perry loses on my conservative principles list, but I would like to see Cruz debate any number of liberals.

even so, its more than any other governor has done about it in the last few decades

Which still amounts to next to nothing.

More mere symbolism, with no real results.

It's not just your opinion, it is fact. The man is a mumbling fool.

As hard as it is to watch, this proves your and my above statements to be true.

ok..

he is the honest truth.

No one, not a single serious candidate for office for either party is EVER, EVER, going to propose that we round up and deport all 20 million illegals.

It ain't going to happen. Sorry.

You and I may not like that, and wish someone with balls would step up with an operation wetback 2.0, but sorry it ain't happening. And you can stomp your feet and throw a temper tantrum about it if you like, and help Hillary in the process, or you can support the best we can get.

And even if his flaws, Perry has been a darn good governor! Their ain't another politician in the US presently with his kind of record.

Interesting. Obama utters uh and er a half dozen or more times in EVERY sentence. It can drive you crazy if you focus on it.

Yet Obama is considered God’s gift to oratory.

Here's hoping and praying he has been in debate classes these past 3 years. And I also hope and believe that he has seen the light on the illegal immigrant issue since he did send the national guard to the border.

At least he knows not to try to debate with pain pills in his system. I wasn't thrilled about his college tuition/illegal gambits, but do not believe that it constitutes a real concern - a State does what a State does to support itself the best way it can. The Federal Government has the Constitution and 10th Amendment to protect the States. if a candidate is good with the Constitution, it doesn't matter that he did some things in his State that i disagree with. I prefer Cruz or Walker, but would be very comfortable with Perry.
