A Fort Hood soldier who just returned from West Africa and was self-monitoring for Ebola symptoms was found dead on Tuesday outside his apartment, officials said.

Killeen police and hazmat teams arrived after 911 calls came in of a man's body on the front lawn of his home, which is just outside the base.

Fort Hood said that the 24-year-old man, who has not been named, had returned on January 7 as part of a 87-person team assigned to West Africa for three months and was found dead at around 7.30am.

Carrie Williams, director of media relations for Texas Department of State Health Services, told CBS News the man was stationed in Liberia.

I’d have to know more about why he came home but offhand, suicide or murder rank pretty highly as a possible cause of death.

I know. Right?

24 year olds turn up dead on their front lawns every day.

All over this country.

All over the world.

and throughout history.

Bunch of hysterical maniacs.

Oh. speaking of hysterical maniacs, I can just imagine how the editors are attempting to, step aside, please, there is nothing to see here, spin this.

Its local news. Has been on FR for hours.

As far as we know, another soldier committed suicide.

That’s it. Nothing more.

His assignment to Western Africa might or might not have nothing to do with nothing.

There is no indication he had Ebola, but plenty of indication that Ebola Hysteria survives into 2015.

This is the second article, and thread, I have seen on FR on this incident.

In both, they do not mention what might have caused his death. For all we know, he had a bullet hole through his head.

I have seen this tactic by the media for years. It's the same thing they do with TV shows when they go to commercial. Got to keep you hanging.

RIP Trooper, thank you for your service.

I keep wondering when the one thing happens, and that it’s so obvious to everyone, and the uprising begins.

Maybe this?

The next revolution is three missed meals away.

The solder was granted an emergency leave exception.

Whatever that is. Whatever that means.

Sounds like something you get if you have a death in family.

Reading a headline, "body of man discovered in front yard of apartment house" -- Ebola virus isn't one of the top three possible causes of death that I would think of.

I still think it's another Obola outbreak. But if it turns out to be suicide, then the blood is on hussien's wicked hands. He, along with John Kerry, has dismantled the might of America's military. that President Ronald Reagan built.

Fight Ebola by spreading it throughout America in US barraks and immigrant warehouses called Amnesty.

“For all we know, he had a bullet hole through his head.”

Sure, but what if the assassin dipped the bullet in Ebola tainted blood?

Did he die of a GSW to the head or Ebola?

What’s a conspiracy theorist to do?

My guess too. The media COULD say that, but it sells more laundry detergent if they make it a mystery for a few days.

“Please provide a link for all your information.”

No link, but simply a cursory knowledge of Ebola, symptoms and timelines and people do not simply drop dead of Ebola without any symptoms.
