Foreign intelligence agencies have intercepted discussions by Islamist militants about possible attacks on weekly marches organized by Germany's new anti-Islamic movement, a news weekly reported Friday, without citing its sources.
Der Spiegel magazine said that foreign intelligence services had picked up the content of communications by some "known international jihadists", without giving specific details.
The intelligence, which was passed to German authorities, indicated they had discussed possible attacks on the rallies organised by the so-called group, "Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamisation of the Occident" (PEGIDA), the magazine said in a pre-released story to appear in this weekend's edition.
"We take these leads very seriously," Spiegel quoted an unnamed high-ranking security official as saying.
PEGIDA marches began in the eastern city of Dresden with several hundred supporters three months ago and have steadily grown, to number 25,000 on Monday, five days after the attacks in Paris by Islamists, in which 17 people were killed.
Several other cities have seen smaller copycat rallies.
Bring it on, bitches.
If they did that, they would encourage real citizen action. The government might step aside and let the soccer hooligans go. It would be street warfare... no mosque would be safe, and there’d be a lot of crossfire damage.
If they did that, it would be a huge mistake. Who are the haters Angie?
It’s getting surreal now. I suggest a Minuteman III out of Minot..
Some day the muslims will go too far.
The bearded savages are mad over the Paris marches. Instead of becoming peaceful humans with a useful purpose in life, they have doubled down and increased their hatred and anger.
“It would be street warfare... no mosque would be safe, and thered be a lot of crossfire damage.”
Yes, but there might be a downside...no, I can’t think of any.
I’d say they went too far, oh, say......about 14 years ago.
Yeah. Let’s get the party started.
They want to beat down opposition in Europe?
In Deutschland?!
They really need to stop reading the 7th century book and read a little 20th century history.
Might unsettle them a bit. The Wehrmacht wasn’t from France.
Deutschland Erwache!
I’d say, the downside is encouraging a secular bunch of patriotic German brownshirts—who knows where that would go. It went down a pretty hairy path between WWI and WWII. On the other hand, repressing the normal civic immune system and letting Islamists run riot seems even more unwise.
Remember guys.
According to Glenn Beck, Pegida are NAZIS.
Not LIKE the Nazis
Actual NAZIS!
Beck knows best... or something. with aids.
Yeah....yeah....yeah....like Le Pen and Farage are “Nazis”....basically anybody not on board with the globalist agenda is a “Nazi” to these folks.
Whatver Pegida is.
Glenn Beck is a very limited person, who has no idea about anything in Europe at all.
I am not sure he has much idea about anything in the USA either.
He is a fraud, and it is a shame that he took in so many Freepers for so long.
Its just disgusting he’d call Pegida Nazis. They have NOTHING to do with Nazis. Just Beck crying yet again trying to gin up another conspiracy theory and distract people from the real enemy. Obama
As long as he’s been standing with GLAAD, he’s been standing in fecal matter.
The left own the narrative in Europe like they do it in America.
Btw, I hate that word, “narrative”
Like anything is really a story to be told and directed.
Sadly, that is, imho, most view the world.
We need to get our “narrative” out.
Be wary of a “narrative” that ....
Etc.
But, since it seems to me that the leftist are winning.
Maybe they are onto something with this talk about the “narrative”.
We had our first Pegida march here in Norway on monday.
I am not sure what such marches can accomplish.
What “narrative” are we giving people?
