Rubio plots his path to victory
The Hill ^ | February 1, 2015 | Cameron Joseph

Marco Rubio sees room for himself in the GOP's crowded 2016 field — and is starting to throw elbows to make space.

The Florida senator is moving full throttle towards a White House bid, hitting the road hard to raise money and elevate his profile. While allies and advisors say he hasn’t made a final decision, most now privately expect he’ll take the plunge.

Sorry Rubio but not voting for someone who was willing to get into bed with the likes of Schumer and Durbin.

“Rubio plots the path to America’s permanent decline.” is how the title should read.

RE :”After huddling with his advisors in Miami, Rubio jetted to attending a confab of top conservative donors hosted by the billionaire Koch brothers, where he earned plaudits from influential attendees after squaring off with Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Ted Cruz (R-Texas) in a forum. The rest of week was spent in California, where he attended a series of fundraisers.
The senator has more fundraising trips planned in the coming weeks, with stops scheduled in Chicago and Texas. His upcoming book tour will take him to the early-voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina.”

$$$$ talks.

About the only interest I have in Rubio is to see how he might challenge Graham (if Lindsey does jump in).

That would make it much more difficult for Rubio to distance himself from the Gang of 8 stench on his shoes and his former push for amnesty.

Early, relatively meaningless at this point, polls put Rubio sort of in the middle of the pack. He doesn’t seem to have much to distinguish himself from the other wannabe also-rans.

Sorry Rubio, but not voting for anyone who isn’t a Natural Born Citizen as understood by our founders.

Rubio’s job is to try to suck the air out of the other conservative candidates for the GOPe.

Rubio's path to victory ends at a Conservative brick wall.

You got into bed with Schumer, so now you're toast pal.

Enjoy your senate perks.

I know a conservative when I see one Rubio is and amnesty loving Rino.

We have a real 12% unemployment rate if you count all those who have been out of work for so long that the regime insists they really don’t need a paycheck. I just want everyone to remember these people can’t pay their bills, save for their old age, and Rubio and the Chamber of Whores would rather depress wages and give their jobs to illegals who broke our laws to get here.

Rubio, we gave Cubans Like your family a chance for political asylum. These illegals don’t have the same reason for being here. They are law breaking opportunists.

If the GOPe's preferred, Jeb, gets the nomination, Marco can't be the VP. So, he may be promised some other high position.

The same might be said for Huckabee, because I think he is now a resident of Florida.

Both Rubio and Huckabee have a purpose -- to try to split up the conservatives.

Rubio is no more qualified to be POTUS than Barack Obama was in 2008. He has no executive experience. He has demonstrated limited leadership capability. What hard choices has he ever made? His only qualification is his “Hispanic” ethnicity.

We need someone who is capable of bringing fiscal sanity to the budget process and begin paying down the national debt. This means someone with the leadership skills, administrative skills, and intestinal fortitude to take on the entrenched bureaucracy, the mainstream media, interest groups dependent on the government teat, and the prima donnas in Congress. One’s skin, language skills and ethnicity are not qualifications for this type of battle.

Sounds like an endorsement for Walker?

The problem is the Primary fight as I will vote for anyone the GOP puts up. I am not going to sit back and watch Hitlery finish off the corpse obongo leaves.

If it came down to Jeb or Rubio in the Florida primary, I’d take Rubio. I will never vote for a Bush again.

Between Rubio and Walker, I’d take Walker.

Huckabee, aside from his gun rights stand, is not a serious candidate in my opinion.

Light in the loafers Graham, NO WAY.

Dr. Carson sounds good has no executive experience and is anti gun so I would never vote for him in a primary.

JenDULL, no flare for me.

The press is trying to push Bush now that Romney has flamed out. Yes there is even some support for Rubio, I heard Krauthammer voice his delight a few weeks back so that pretty much says it all there.

We have to be careful we do not let the press pick our candidate. There are plenty of good ones to choose from but each has at least one wart.

He has demonstrated limited leadership capability.

I am not supporting Rubio, but I understand he had a leadership role in the FL state senate, and was able in working it.

Thats an easy fix: Bush changes his place of residency to Walkers Point and picks up a Maine drivers licence.

GW Bush and Cheney were both residents of Texas in 2000. Before accepting the nomination Cheney changed his residency to Wyoming.

Rubio had best plot his path to the presidency south over the boarder and then up the upper eastern coast.

He should join the other wannabes on the sidelines cheering a proper presidential candidate like Gov. Walker!

Rubio plots his path to ... ?

Rubio stumbled into a dead-end dark alley the minute he threw in his lot with McCain and Pansey Graham, just like Kelly Ayotte did. Slimeball, treasonous snakes -- the lot of them.

"Them" includes just about the whole US Senate, perhaps excluding a small handful of TEA Party senators.

Exactly! He is the fall back for the GOPE if Jeba the Bush comes crashing down in flames. And you can bet there will be some conservatives who will be willing rubes for the Rube.
