I’m told that the justification for required union dues is that the unions negotiate for everyone and thus everyone should pay. They even go so far as to claim that anyone not paying union dues are making slaves of the poor union leadership who negotiate for them...

Even if I agree that it is best for mass vaccinations against really bad diseases, the concept of forcing everyone parallels the union argument above as well as opens the doors for government corruption to force ALL vaccinations made by any company big enough to pay off a politician (translation... all of them).

If the vaccination argument is so compelling... make it through education and persuade... not mandate.

I HATE Government corruption. This issue is a great example of corruption and cover up. The CDC continues the mantra, vaccinate your children, immediately if not sooner yet they refuse to investigate/study the increasing rates of Autism and vaccine injury. Then the pundits and doctors continue to promote the CDC Vaccinate Mantra without even knowing that the CDC is negligent in their job to protect the recipients of these Vaccinations.
I also worry about the increased number of vaccines being recommended by the CDC. Especially a recommendation to vaccinate newborn babies for Hep B when most Newborns are not even at risk for Hep B.
It wasn’t just this one paper, either: Other statements attributed to Dr. Thompson include:
“I have a boss who’s asking me to lie...Higher ups wanted to do certain things and I went along with it. In terms of command, I was 4 out of 5.”
“...the effect [autism] is where you would think it would happen. It is with the kids without other conditions [”isolated autism”]...I’m just looking at this and I’m like ‘Oh my God....I cannot believe we did what we did...but we did [bury the data on these children]...It’s all there...It’s all there. I have handwritten notes.’”

I’m for vaccines but have concerns about those that combine several diseases in one.

Back in the day, there wasn’t as much international travel so diseases didn’t spread so far or so quickly as they do today. Add to that the open borders, visas for everyone and bio terrorists, it’s a more important than ever to protect ourselves. It’s also important that there be more safety protocols and quit pushing those vaccines which aren’t effective. This year’s flu shot was a bust as is the whooping cough and don’t get me started on Gardasil.

Congressman Bill Posey has read the CDC Whistleblower documents and “demanded, during a half-hour radio interview, transparency about the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and its handling of vaccine safety studies, stressing that the incestuous relationship between the CDC and vaccine makers affects the nations most precious resource, which are children.”

Forced vaccination? no.
Education, yes. (”Hundreds dead or hundreds of millions dead - pick one.”)
Permit exclusion when involving a susceptible population, probably. (”Your un-vaccinated child is at high risk of either contracting or bringing a preventable disease, find another group to associate with. Medical contraidications exempted.”)

The issue is suitably covered by “freedom of association”.

Some vaccines must be issued on prediction, and sometimes the prediction is wrong. Viral mutations can be frequent enough that sometimes the wrong vaccine is created for what turns out to be the actual disease. That’s not so much a matter of “ineffective” as “effective against something we thought would happen but didn’t”.

Actually ineffective ones, obviously, should be avoided.

In case you are wondering who Paul Thorsen is, “One such liar is Dr. Poul Thorsen, a Danish scientist who was indicted for stealing millions of dollars from the CDC and using it to cover up vaccine dangers. Thorsen, as you may recall, was heavily involved in producing a stream of fraudulent studies that supposedly “disproved” the now-evident link between vaccines and autism. Analysis of the information obtained through FOIA showed a 300+% increase in autism following MMR adminstration, and it was deliberately left out of CDC reports.

This is why the freedom to make personal medical decisions is so crucial. I have read/studied enough on this topic to KNOW that I don’t trust the CDC. I don’t trust a government who lies, lies, lies. When you can’t trust the scientist, you can’t trust the science.

I asked because a dear 70 year old friend and pastor just beat his colon cancer, he had surgery at the VA hospital in Albuquerque, after the surgery the doctors, not the surgeon, tried to get him to go with Chemo, he refused instead opting for Laetrile.

He was discharged on Nov. 29, 2014, by the time his PET was read, Jan 28th, he was cancer free. One doctor refused to treat him. All the others have been any where from supportive to curious.

BUT, he did tell me that he felt really pressured by the oncology folks and his Primary Care assignee who refused to care for him once he found out that he wouldn’t use chemo, the funny thing is if that PC doc had read the PET scan results he would have known the cancer was already gone.

I asked because I kind of figured it was intimidation, suttle, but intimidation or pressure just the same.

Paul, who is a physician, said, however, he knew of instances in which poorly timed vaccinations had led to mental disorders.

Rand Paul may be a physician, but clearly, he is not well-read on the medical literature regarding vaccine safety.

There is, in fact, NO instance in which "poorly-timed" vaccinations led to mental disorders. There are, however, plenty of instances in which a vaccine-preventable disease caused brain damage.

When we talk about vaccination, we're not talking about an individual's right to expose his or her children to potentially deadly diseases. We're talking about that individual's "right" to expose other people's children to those diseases. I don't care how they feel about their own children, but when they want to endanger MY children and grandchildren with their choices, they're crossing a line.

There is one in every thread. You failed to quote a single scientific source in any of your posts, but you felt the need to spam this thread with anti-vaccine propaganda (copied directly out of age of autism, whale.to, [un]naturalnews, and other well-known anti-science propaganda sites.

The goal of anti-vaxxers is clear. They want as many kids as possible to die. They are cut from the same cloth as others who hate humanity human. Just like radical "environmentalists" and other extreme leftists, they want to kill off hundreds of millions and make the ones who don't die from disease and pollution as miserable as possible.

I am for vaccinations. I am not for government forcing vaccinations. I think school systems have a right to proof of certain vaccinations if you go to their schools.

I am not for government and drug companies making crony deals that force a certain product on people.

Perhaps it is the cronyism that causes tremendous distrust of the contents in vaccines. it is not the virus in the vaccine that causes the trouble. It is the additives that are questioned.

Vaccines should not be political, yet they are. Medicine should not be political.
