Last time I was there I got a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt. I had just got in the vehicle and just about to set off. Because I was not from NY and had my FL plate on I got a ticket costing 90 bucks, which is double because I am out of state. Rip off.
Never been back there since and have no plans to ever leave the south unless I go to the Midwest or AK.

It’s important to raise minimum wage so the young blacks in NYC can be not working for more money. Meanwhile the illegals can work for a LOT less and get the jobs the young blacks don’t get. Illegals like him for helping them get jobs and young blacks like him for raising the minimum wage they can’t get paid.
It’s a perfect scenario, really, unless one of those young blacks suddenly figures out he could get a job if he could accept a lower price.

If an employer does this .. he will possibly have to lay off some people just to pay the other people.
That will result in less taxes for the city; and less taxes from the employees for the city .. because there will now be LESS EMPLOYEES.

And .. how is the employer supposed to feed and house and clothe his own family .. after paying each employee more than he takes home ..??

Yes, people do work for minimum wage here. Mainly 1st generation immigrants willing to live in the most poor areas.

That’s the tourist price in a hot-spot. I can get a real footlong sub with twice as much filling as Subway for $6. Rarely do I pay more than $10 for a sit-down lunch.
If you know where to look, raw food is also not expensive. In cheaper residential areas, the stores have the same prices as rural NJ and PA. Often with more variety and better sales.
The only huge expense here is housing. A family-safe two bedroom with a 1hr commute will run you at least $3000/month.
I think you’d start buying commercial property just outside of NYC if they impose this on businesses in NYC. Delivery of goods into Gotham will skyrocket.
