The day before International Women's Day, President Obama's weekly address was an ode to his wife, first lady Michelle Obama.

This week, the two launched a new initiative based around girls' education.

"Let Girls Lean" has a goal to "help more girls around the world go to school and stay in school," Obama said in his weekly address.

The president noted that six million girls who should be in school, but are not.

"And that's not an accident," Obama said. "It's the direct result of barriers, large and small, that stand in the way of girls who want to learn."

Any country that wants to partner with the U.S. is welcome to, Obama noted, so long as they know they "need to get serious about increasing the number of girls in school."

"I come to this issue as the leader of the world's largest economy, and commander in chief of the world's most powerful military, and I'm convinced that a world in which girls are educated is a safer, more stable, more prosperous place," he added, noting that he is the father of two young women.

*Mohammedan countries excluded.

Regardless, they're not missing much.

Nobody “deserves” anything, except for freedom, if they haven’t squandered it.

The large barrier is usually ISLAM. The small barrier is the fact that they can’t keep their knees together. Islam and “choice” are two of the Obamoron’s favorite things, so he is helping to keep their girls out of school.

More BS designed to waste taxpayer money.

Education is available to anyone who wants to learn. Those who don’t go to school don’t want to learn.

And if their country is poor and doesn’t provide educational opportunities — whose fault is that? This country has poured billions into these he’ll hole countries. Perhaps their citizens should find out from their leaders just where the money went.

This time a ‘straw woman’. Trying to sound like OUR female population isn’t being educated. He needs to talk with his closest buddies, the Muslim Brotherhood to get this rectified.

And at the end of his speech, he said: and because of the Medieval treatment the Saudis practice for women, we are breaking all association with them and their leaders. (sarcasm)

Being exposed to an education process doesn’t mean you will emerege “educated”.

Just take a look at The First Mooch as an example of the outcome when you try to educate a person beyond their intelligence.

Well, then, Barry, you should stop playing footsie with Boko Haram. After all, one of their favorite activities is burning down girls’ schools and killing, raping, or selling all of the girls who DARED to get an education.

Has anyone else noticed how quickly the Left's devotion to multiculturalism and moral relativism goes overboard when it conflicts with something they believe in.

I believe all people should be educated, but then I have excellent reasons for so believing, based on Judeo-Christian ideals and American exceptionalism. What does the Left base its reasons on?

"Obama: 'Every girl deserves an education indoctrination'"

There! Fixed it.

Beware! The only “education” that socialist puppets like the Obamas understand is vote-winning indoctrination imo.

Unless they are your pals the Taliban in Afghanistan. Or any of your sharia lovin' pals around the globe. Doesn't Boko Harem mean no books?
