How about a federal "grand jury" and "Office of the Federal Prosecutor" both staffed and elected by the states? They could work in conjunction with a reconfigured FBI.

Yeah something that is triggered automatically to take these things out of the hands of congress.

Personally I think we should find a new means of choosing an attorney general anyway. This crap of the AG acting at the president's personal prosecutor/defender is getting damn old. We have an elected AG and SOS in michigan and they both regularly oppose the governor despite being from the same party.

How do you young folks who fell for obozo’s Bravo Sierra feel about being called “knuckleheads” by Moochelle obozo? Oh wait. Those votes for him already proved that you were knuckleheads — or worse!
never mind!!
Wait until you learn how Hillary feels about you. Actually, she thinks we’re ALL stupid sheep.

Then you would have to change the Constitution as I see it, because the AG is a cabinet-level position just like the SOS, the POSTMASTER, and all the rest. But I agree with you, that this should be changed because we have no mechanism for law enforcement if the AG is the Presidents “boy!”

Either this or something like being willing to impeach far more than what has been historical custom.

“Either this or something like being willing to impeach far more than what has been historical custom.”

I am beginning to think that the Founding Fathers could not fathom the level of criminality we have in the officeholders today when they crafted the Constitution. Being patriots who had just won a war for independence, they could not have understood the kind of people who would follow them and have planned accordingly.

He got ripped off! The going rate was 30 pieces. But that was for betraying Christ. If our hunch is correct, Gowdy’s only betraying the lowly, unimportant American voters. And THEY haven’t mattered a hill of beans since the 80s, in the previous century!

(Not to mention that he’s also betraying his oath, the COTUS, the Founding Fathers, and all those who sacrificed even their lives and limbs for the birth and preservation of our Nation.) But who gives a hoot about that stuff anymore?/S

A loss of general caring in the body politic was not in the plan.

What did Gowdy do wrong... it looks like he is pointing up something pretty damned fishy here.

Ann Coulter on Judge Jeanne said she can’t believe how stupid this is - Bill would never be so downright stupid.

Then Coulter said a Yale law professor had Bill, Hillary and Clarence Thomas in the same class and one was really smart, one was smart and one was really dumb. So of course I wondered which was which and found this. I’m guessing Bill is the really smart. Not so sure about the other two...

Bill Clinton, Hillary Rodham, Clarence Thomas, and I all took a course at Yale Law School together called “Civil and Political Rights,” taught by Professor Thomas Emerson. Bill was not the most reliable or disciplined attendee (he was often off working on some election), but when he was there he answered every question correctly. Hillary was always an active and enthusiastic participant. I tried as best I could. Clarence, however, sat in the back of the classroom the whole semester with a scowl on his face, never raising his hand, never answering a question, never offering a single word. That was over forty years ago but it seems like only yesterday.

Anything Trey Gowdy says or does is first put through the media’s garbolator. They can then successfully make the truth and reality into something totally different. Gowdy isn’t Just fighting progressives and GOPe but the media beast as well.

Perhaps they were holding the info back to release at a later time during her presidential campaign.

I thought this Bengazi thing was supposed to be about getting the truth.
And not using 4 dead Americans as a campaign too.

There would be a record on the sender/receivers email server though, unless they were pulling the same stunt as Hillary!.

Yes, there are undoubtably many people who have emails from her, but that's like looking of a needle in a haystack. Unless those recipients volunteer that they received emails from her (pretty unlikely considering the people she deals with), how are you going to know who they are and without subpoenas, how would you get access to them? And since she could have deleted her sent email, there is no record to track.

My point was that she may have assigned emails from her server (there are at least 22 different email addresses found so far originating from her server) and other people logged in to those email addresses and and they exchanged email that way. Since she had complete control over her server, any of those correspondences could have been deleted and not retrievable.

Look up home brew server and you'll see how that is set up and how easy it is to delete every trace of what you sent and received.

...but that's like looking of a needle in a haystack.

Or looking through what they already have.

The House and Senate committees on Benghazi must have subpoenaed a lot of State Dept. employees e-mails and texts already. Then there is Gowdy's Benghazi committee. Then there are several other investigative committees who did a lot of subpoenaing in the past six years. All they need is one that she can produce no match for.

...she may have assigned emails from her server ... and other people logged in to those email addresses...

I got that point. That's just a 'maybe.' A very doubtful 'maybe.'
