Let's put this in a scenario, because some of you might be thinking, all right, Rush, now this is, we're going too far now. I mean, now all you guys thinking Obama's doing this and that and he's violating the Constitution, but he would never -- well, let's construct a scenario and see if it has even the slightest bit of believability. And let's establish some things that we know to be true that Obama also knows and chief among those is that the Republican Party has said that impeachment is off the table, and more than once they've said this. The Republican Party has made it clear that they will not use that constitutional measure as a means of reining Obama in and maybe even getting him out of office.
They have also made it very clear in just the most recent vote on the funding for Department of Homeland Security that they will not use the power of the purse to stop Obama. OK, so those two realities equal Obama fully aware the Republican Party will take no steps to stop him in his ongoing violations, and running up to the edges, of the Constitution.

This is flaw in Limbaugh's argument.
A person who is ineligible to serve cannot run for office. Running is the act, and the other candidates have standing because they are harmed by an ineligible candidate that is running nonetheless.
Then you have the issue of donors giving to an illegal campaign. Can they write off a campaign donation to an illegal campaign? Will the FEC accept filings from an ineligible candidate?
These are all issues that are ripe for the courts during the campaign season. Obama's illegal campaign would be distracted by endless court challenges to the legality of his filings, and donors would be challenged for the legality of their contributions.

That did not stop Barry Soetoro, Indonesian citizen, from running in 2007 ans getting into office as an usurper.
You have NOT been paying attention- Boehner and McConnell would rush out and repeat that impeachment is off the table, and both houses would form gangs of 8 or 30 or whatever to work out a deal that would accommodate Buckwheat.
The message the courts and the entire system gave us in 2008 was that if the people (or vote counters) will “elect” a person, the Constitution be damned. The ONLY measure of eligibility was 51% of the electoral vote, because no court would EVER “overturn an election”.
If this scenario should happen there are a lot of people right here on Free Republic who will deserve everything they get, because they were afraid to “go birther” and say that we have a Constitution. If we didn’t have one then - and we didn’t, and a lot of “conservatives” called us crazy for pointing that out in 2008 and since - then it’s pretty lame for those same people to say that we should have one now.
Using the arguments cited right here at Free Republic, as long as each state Secretary of State gets the paperwork for Obama’s name to be put on the 2016 ballot there is nothing the states can do but put his name on, as long as he gets the votes the electors can’t do a thing but vote for him, as long as the electors’ votes are lawfully done Congress can’t do a thing, as long as Congress certifies the election SCOTUS can’t do a thing.... and nobody in the entire country has “standing” to say boo, and even if they did the courts would never take the case because eligibility is not a LEGAL/Constitutional issue but a “political” issue. That includes eligibility for a THIRD term, just as much as it includes eligibility for a first term.
Anybody who ridiculed the “birthers” but now wants to say this isn’t how the system is supposed to work can FIRST kiss the arses of every “birther” you ridiculed, and only then have you ANY credibility to say a peep.
Enough Conservative Secretaries of State would keep him off of enough state ballots to make his re-election problematic.
Why didn’t any of that happen in 2008 or 2012, and what makes you think that the same people who stood by silently even after it was known that Obama had committed document fraud to hide his ineligibility would suddenly rise up to care about the Constitution?

The state SOS’s were ALL informed that Obama was committing election fraud and perjury by even APPLYING to be on the 2012 ballot, and not ONE of them did a thing about it. My own SOS said even if he knew for absolute sure that the application was perjurious he could not do a dang thing about it and would HAVE to put the name on the ballot.
People, this system is NOT protecting you the way you think it is. We are TOTALLY on our own. There is no rule of law. There is no Constitution. There are no courts. There is no media. There is no justice.
And that was perfectly fine to the “non-birthers” in 2008 and again in 2012.

You have 22 Czars who were 1960’s radical Marxists that run the country. All communists with Obama as its figurehead. He is Muslim, He is Black, He is a Communist and he is untouchable.
Third term? More like dissolution of the government and a populist uprising leading to a socialist state. With Republicans on the sidelines hoping the media doesn’t label them seditionists.
It may be time for that same action again ... hopefully there will be enough patriots with the gravitas to pull it off this time around ...
Pardon while I adjust my tinfoil hat, but perhaps why Obama is letting Iran and other rogue states develop the bomb is to encourage a nuclear attack on a US city which could allow him to declare an unprecedented national emergency and assume dictatorial powers. It worked for Hitler.
Obama is not going to grab all the power,place all those illegals ,control the Internet and control all Police departments and just walk away
Think about *how* Obama would do this is important.
1) Because McConnell and Boehner are such incredible cowards, a “Reichstag fire” might not even be needed. Based on some contrived or real disaster that might kill tens of thousands or even millions of Americans, Obama might just decree that congress is suspended, due to a “national emergency”. The two Quislings would meekly agree.
2) He would not “cancel” the election, but just say it is “delayed” due to the emergency, and that he is remaining in office to keep “continuity” in government services “for the duration”.
3) His next gambit would be to round up and “detain” those most likely to resist. Particularly “leaders” who might lead a revolt. This would include a purge of military leadership that would not swear an oath of loyalty to him, not the constitution.
4) Another dictation would be to appoint perhaps five more justices to the Supreme Court. Ultra-radicals to prevent them from trying to stop him.
5) He would have to dictate rationing of everything, both to buy supporters and starve his enemies. And at some point rewrite the constitution to justify everything he is doing and wants to do.
The most critical element to his doing this is the timetable, as he cannot do too much, too fast, that even the media can’t hide from the public.
