Although private individuals can request a state background check before transferring a gun to another person, such checks are not required.

“That loophole does allow people to buy guns, no questions asked, without a background check,” said Mark Prentice, press secretary for Americans for Responsible Solutions.

"“That loophole does allow people to buy guns, no questions asked,".... Oh yeah. THAT LOOPHOLE nonsense again. Because making law abiding citizens comply with an absurd piece of legislation will prevent criminals from ever, ever, ever being able to obtain a firearm. Right? Heads up Oregon. Take note of what happened in Washington and what the bloomin' idjits are having put on the 2016 ballot in Nevada.

Closing that “loophole” means that a private person can’t sell an item of his property to another private person without the gov’t involved.

They’ll have to go the route of garage sales that sell kids’ pajamas.
Sell a paper plate to the customer, then give them the pajamas.

” legislation will prevent criminals from ever, ever, ever being able to.....”
___________

When has this ever been the expectation of any law that is passed? Ever?

Loophole it may be, but how about some REAL NUMBERS* on how many of these guns are used in crimes?

*REAL NUMBERS: Words which are anathema to liberals, since math is not their friend.

This is all nonsense. The aim of anti-gun supporters is to disarm law-abiding citizens to that they cannot respond to government oppression. Anyone who thinks otherwise is an abject idiot. Criminals don’t give a crap about background checks. If it makes it more expensive to illegally obtain a gun, they will adapt through paying higher black market prices or just plain steal them.

The goal for all this is total banning of firearms altogether. It makes their job of subjugations so much easier. They are your enemy.

Oops, better make sure the pajamas meet fire resistance regs.

And second-hand toys. Gotta check for lead paint. Lead paint, no can sell.

That’s exactly why they have to do that.

“Prozanski is a former deputy district attorney who also experienced the impact of gun violence in the early 1970s, when his older sister was murdered by her boyfriend. The family lived in Texas, and Prozanski was in high school at the time. His sister was trying to leave her boyfriend, who was a drug dealer.

“The guy that killed her had a gun, of course, and he was a felon,” Prozanski said.”

So the reason they need this law is because this dildo’s sister was killed by a drug dealer that didn’t follow the laws already on the books that barred him from owning a gun?

If you all will notice, none of these laws apply to criminals. It only apply to law abiding citizens. I have a warning to all law abiding citizens. If you register your weapons to this government, it will make the government’s job easier to confiscate your weapons, when ever they feel like it. All they have to do is PASS A LAW that will require all of you to turn your weapons to the government, under penalty of imprisonment. The government will know where you live, and will send their “SWAT TEAM” to your house.

LOL! We recently sold some twin beds with mattresses. The place we sold them told us they “can’t” sell used mattresses but if they just happen to be part of a bedroom set, no problem. Guess we circumvented the law huh?

there are no loopholes
thre are only unconstitutional laws infringing on American citizens’ rights to keep and bear arms.

I would be more than happy to allow background checks for gun buyers as soon as we start having background checks for voters and US presidents.
