It begins: Hillary's standing in polls starts to plummet

I am hoping that Hillary Clinton hangs in there, bullying her way to the Democratic nomination, but her polling is starting to collapse. Amanda Becker of Reuters notices what is going on, not just among the general public, but among Democrat insiders:

Democratic support for Hillary Clinton's expected presidential campaign is softening amid controversy over her use of personal email when secretary of state, but most Democrats are for now sticking by their party's presumed candidate.

Support for Clinton's candidacy has dropped about 15 percentage points since mid February among Democrats, with as few as 45 percent saying they would support her in the last week, according to a Reuters/Ipsos tracking poll. Support from Democrats likely to vote in the party nominating contests has dropped only slightly less, to a low in the mid-50s over the same period.

A 15% decline in a month is no small matter, nor is the fact that less than half of the Democrats supporting her. But the really critical fact is this:

Even Democrats who said they were not personally swayed one way or another by the email flap said that Clinton could fare worse because of it, if and when she launches her presidential campaign, a separate Reuters/Ipsos poll showed.

The perception is that she is sinking, and unless she is somehow able to answer questions about her email server satisfactorily (almost zero probability), even people who like her will fear that she will drag down the party.

There is still a decent chance that Hillary’s “it’s my turn” mentality will keep her going, along with her desire to gain vengeance on the Obama machine that humiliated her in 2008.

The Dems, behind the scenes, are setting up the fundraising and organization for another candidate. The media can shill all they want for Hillary but the party insiders are done with her, and are looking for and grooming her replacement.

Liberal logic: 18 1/2 minutes of blank tape is a big deal but 30,000 missing emails is not.

Democrats don’t seem to have a history of nominating candidates based on it being “their turn”.

In the cases of Jimmy Carter in 1976, Mike Dukakis in 1988, Bill Clinton in 1992, and Obama in 2008, these candidates emerged from the primaries, but were little known to most Americans when they began their campaigns in the primaries.

Dem. frontrunners or perceived frontrunners of the past include Ted Kennedy, Mario Cuomo, Ed Muskie, and Hillary herself in 2008.

It seems as if many Democrats are afraid to enter the presidential race this time. Hillary is a strong candidate, of course, yet, history tells us that she can be taken down. Many Democrats don’t like the Clintons, yet nobody has stepped forward to challenge them. Why is this?

There are probably more shoes to drop on the Hildabeast. The WH likely has plenty more “dry powder” ready for use at the right time. They’re thinking “see ya, wouldn’t want to be ya!” lol

The ONLY reason for Hillary!’s (tm) polls to collapse is for the enemedia to set-up the springboard for a later surge in PIAPS polling, ie, her amazing recovery.

That’s because Nixon was an evil Republican. You have to remember that the criteria for judging people and situations differ, depending on whether someone is liberal or conservative, Republican or Democrat. Since HIllary is a good Democrat she is judged differently on these matters.

“I’m just hoping she hangs for the crimes she committed.”

I am just hoping she “hangs in there” because she is the weakest of all candidates. I yearn to see her in the spotlight and watch her melt like her great grandma from the wizard of oz.
