Never forget the shyt that the media talked about Reagan. He was “too radical” and “unelectable” too. The GOP mucky-mucks hated him. Everyone tries to pretend differently, but I remember, oh yes I do.

Boehner, Mcconnell, McCain, Barbor, Rove, all the Party “leaders”... these people are shyt.

Time for all the rest of the Republican field to withdraw- although that would be a tall order for Rand and Rubio and H(F)uckabee.

When George Herbert Bush was running for prez and I was working the phones in support of him, I remember sitting there in between calls thinking, "I wish I could get really excited about this guy but I am not."

Same thing for Dole, McCain, Bush and Romney. I just couldn't get all jazzed about guys who I did not believe had my back, so to speak.

Ted Cruz is a solid candidate and he is making me want to work hard, just like when Ronald Reagan ran in 1984.

'Ted Cruz is the candidate most likely to take our country from where it's arrived under the leadership dictatorship of President Obama to where it should be - in the hands of "We the People." '

Fixed it for ya. You're welcome.

Only one I’ve seen and heard with a backbone. It will take much more than rhetoric to take back this nation.

Some things about the author of this very well done article:

Carl Jackson was born and raised in Los Angeles, California by his mother and father until the age of 11 when his mother died unexpectedly of a chronic illness. Carl attempted to find his way as the youngest of six who were lost without the strength of their matriarch. He moved back and forth between L.A and Orlando, FL trying to find his way in life. With the help of family and friends he was introduced to hard work, faith and family values. However, as a struggling teen he wandered down the path of least resistance, finding himself jailed twice and with a child he had to fight to raise.

By the grace of God and insistence by his brother and friend, he attended an Evangelical church and found that there was a better way. Once he accepted Jesus Christ as his savior he began to develop a greater desire to understand who God is and why it mattered. He began to see that the cultural dependence on government promoted by the Democrat leaders among his community rejected dependence upon God. As he studied America’s history he discovered that despite America’s flaws, particularly slavery, God used our Founding Fathers to create our Constitution within the context of the Bible and world history. It’s divine and exceptional nature is undeniable.

It was during his newfound love for American history that he discovered the Democrat party perpetuated slavery, formed the KKK, and fought against the civil rights of minorities. With this hidden history Carl was launched on a journey to help people of all races and backgrounds discover facts of America’s true past, as well as realize the benefits of utilizing their God-given gifts and talents which far outweigh any benefit from a government subsidy or program.

— I like reading articles written by good men.... I think Carl Jackson turned out to be one of those good men.

~~ hat tip, Mr. Jackson.

If you cut out Cruz and paste in Reagan with the lamestream media, it’s 1979 all over again.

The next step: A “deal” brokered where the Establishment candidate is the VP, kinda like Reagan and Bush 41. Watch for that if Cruz looks likely.

“There’s something to be said about a legislator that has operated in the belly of the beast and remained true to himself and his constituents. “

DC corrupts and Cruz has proven he is not corruptible.

Liberal Republican Mitt Romney was unelectable.

He proved that by not getting elected.

The electablity meme was generated by the GOP-E, and those following it are following the liberal GOP-E whether they admit it or not.

Cruz is the real deal, and not a liberal like Romney.

People don't want to vote for a liberal republican. Even liberal Romney.

I’ve often thought that Newt Gingrich is probably the most articulate speaker of our party. When he speaks, we learn something. Unfortunately, he was gunned down quickly, plus he didn’t look presidential anymore.

Now we have someone who may well be just as articulate in defining on simple terms conservative principles mixed in with a little history about our gov’t and teach us again of why people come here to live.

Yes, we may see early on in the debates evangelicals out there, esp women, to support Ten Cruz. My only concern is his understanding of the world. Who ever takes office will see a world vastly different from eight years ago.

The ME out of control. Obama has eighteen months to tear down whats’s left of our security.

I see where things are going. Iran will be at full scale war with SA and the others, quite soon.

As iron sharpens iron so will the debates sharpen our candidates' ability to frame their messages effectively. I suspect being a champion debater from Harvard, Sen. Cruz will have an edge on the others in the field.

I expect him to be at a disadvantage because the media will again be the questioners, and they will tailor their questions into assaults on Ted Cruz.

The Republican establishment is comprised of men who are older than 70 and living in the 20th century. They are outdated, jaded and corrupted by lobbyists. This party needs someone of the 21st century with enthusiasm, energy and passion for conservative values to renew our goals of individual liberty and limited government. Cruz appears to fit the bill.
