Apple’s Tim Cook is dangerous and a flaming hypocrite
Red State ^ | 03/30/2015 | By: streiff (Diary)

Ordinarily I wouldn’t concern myself with what some billionaire far-left oligarch thinks. Usually, they don’t think about much beyond making money and having millions of people they neither know or respect suck up to them. Apple’s Steve Jobs made a career of this type of self-important asshattery. His successor, Tim Cook is no different.

Weighing in on the Indiana RFRA law signed by Governor Mike Pence last week, Cook has demonstrated he is not only has distinctly fascistic tendencies (part of the whole billionaire far-left oligarch thing) and scarcely as passing knowledge of the US Constitution and the issue at hand but he is a flaming left-wing hypocrite in the bargain. Pro-discrimination ‘religious freedom’ laws are dangerous.

A wave of legislation, introduced in more than two dozen states, would allow people to discriminate against their neighbors. Some, such as the bill enacted in Indiana last week that drew a national outcry and one passed in Arkansas, say individuals can cite their personal religious beliefs to refuse service to a customer or resist a state nondiscrimination law.

Others are more transparent in their effort to discriminate. Legislation being considered in Texas would strip the salaries and pensions of clerks who issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples — even if the Supreme Court strikes down Texas’ marriage ban later this year. In total, there are nearly 100 bills designed to enshrine discrimination in state law.

These bills rationalize injustice by pretending to defend something many of us hold dear. They go against the very principles our nation was founded on, and they have the potential to undo decades of progress toward greater equality.

The important thing to note here is that Cook arrogates to himself to decide how everyone else should live. His enthusiastic support of homosexuality (and God knows what other -ality, because once you agree that buggery is normal there is, as the Brits would say, **ck all that is abnormal) is not shared by at least a significant plurality of Americans and therefore everyone is wrong but him because $$$$. His disdain for the legislative process is just what we’ve come to expect from the left.

Our message, to people around the country and around the world, is this: Apple is open. Open to everyone, regardless of where they come from, what they look like, how they worship or who they love. Regardless of what the law might allow in Indiana or Arkansas, we will never tolerate discrimination.

Men and women have fought and died fighting to protect our country’s founding principles of freedom and equality. We owe it to them, to each other and to our future to continue to fight with our words and our actions to make sure we protect those ideals. The days of segregation and discrimination marked by “Whites Only” signs on shop doors, water fountains and restrooms must remain deep in our past. We must never return to any semblance of that time. America must be a land of opportunity for everyone.

Here he grossly misstates the issue and tries to equate homosexuality, pedophilia, bestiality, necrophilia (he said “who they love,” not me) with racial equality. As the man said, “I don’t need a bumpersticker for you to know I’m black.” The equating of racial equality and social acceptance of sexual deviants is so grotesque that it defies description. Cook knows, because despite his manifest dishonesty I don’t think he’s a freakin moron, that the Indiana RFRA is the same as the federal law with one minor exception. The Indiana law can be used by parties in cases that do not involve the State of Indiana. This is important, because the sexual deviants that Cook thinks are so noble are engaged in an all-out war on religious people to force them to participate in homosexual marriages. The New Mexico Supreme Court held in the Elaine Photography case (apparently there was only one photographer in the entire state of New Mexico and she refused to document a homosexual pairing engaging in a mockery of marriage) that the New Mexico state RFRA was not relevant because the case involved two private parties.

And there is this howler:

I have great reverence for religious freedom. As a child, I was baptized in a Baptist church, and faith has always been an important part of my life. I was never taught, nor do I believe, that religion should be used as an excuse to discriminate.

This is simply an unmitigated series of lies strung together as an anecdote. The Southern Baptist Convention, the largest grouping of Baptist churches, condemns homosexual marriage. This is in line with 2000 years of Christian theology. If Cook’s faith extended much beyond making money he would know this. If he had any respect for religious freedom he would understand the issue and what is at stake.

More to the point, Tim Cook is not only dishonest but he is a flaming hypocrite. Take a look at the list of countries where Apple has a presence. See any nations that engage in discrimination?

Additionally we know that this Indiana law was a re-write of the same law Obama supported as a state senator in Illinois.

Liberals are such hypocrites.

Said it before, and will say it again:

Hey Cook, more Steve Jobs and less Bawney Fwank.

If you want to push wedding cakes, learn to bake, quit Apple, and let REAL engineers develop neat things.

I wish Texas would step up more and that way he could pull all the Apple jobs that welfare Perry brought here and lower our hipster count.

The fact that he’ll so easily and openly lie doesn’t speak well of his ethics. I wouldn’t do business with such a man.

I disagree with the forceful gay agenda. We get to disagree with you, but if you disagree with us, it’s war!

Very dangerous to Apple shareholders as well for a large corporation like his to get involved the divisive field of politicized homoseuality

I am actually getting to where I carry my non-iphone less and less, much to the annoyance of the wife. I have reverted back to the pre-cell days where when home I leave it in my room and walk in and check it occasionally. She get made because I will get a text and not look to see what it was for minutes, if not longer, when we are out and about. Drives her nuts.

Yeppers. Let Timmy Boycott Indiana. I DARE him too.

He can stamp his foot, pout like a little girl and throw any kind of hissy fit he wants to, but he knows taking actions - other than shooting off his fool faggotty mouth - would cost him profits.

Oh, how he must hate selling Apples to us bigots!

How many homeless are allowed to camp out at Apple’s well manicured campus ?

They discriminate, like everyone, of course.

Google, Apple, and Microsoft are all (would be) evil empires ...

an anroid phone

My (personal) phone is a Galaxy-S 3. For several months I also had an employer-supplied iPhone5. It was a pain in the butt, IMO. Hated it.

So ... I had an Android phone, and a Hemorrhoid phone ...
