Rats see nothing wrong with using their position for personal gain, no matter how corrupt.

Maybe BHO wants to throw both of them under the bus. He’s mad at Menendez for his pro-Israeli stance and other things; Reid’s usefulness is coming to an end... maybe BHO wants to use him as a punching bag, too, haha.

Menendez can join Blagojevitch, Kwame Kilpatrick, and Ray Nagin in the Robert Torricelli Memorial cellblock in the Federal lockup.

If I read this correctly, Menendez is being charged with accepting campaign contributions from a guy and then setting up a meeting with HHS secretary to try to talk her into helping him out, which she did not do.
Not saying it didn't happen, not saying it's not inappropriate or illegal even. Just saying that I would wager that the percentage of congressmen who take campaign contributions and then offer access to officials must be close to 100% every single year. So why go after Menendez?
Hint: he yelled at Obama once.
