A number of leftists pulled me aside before the last election. They told me that they were voting for LePage, but didn’t want anyone to know it. They wanted to talk to me to find out more about him, the press here in Maine is dominated by leftist billionaire husband of Cheri Pingree a radical first district representative.
Um, southerners have their charm and yankees have their “charm”... :-)
I’m stealing it for my tagline.
[[Well he could be nicer, like God bless those nonsense spewing ignoramuses]]
With “AND they can kiss my butt” added for emphasis
sounds like a CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN version Chris Christie- only much much better-
Kick Susan Collins in the butt while you’re at it, Guv.
And Angus King also.
[[Constitutional Carry]]
I thought maine had carry already, no?
Kind of sad to see fascism envy, though. Is there anything good about his governorship other than that it is his? We don’t even have the courtesy any more of telling someone that he or she is wrong, it seems. It has to be infantilized. That cannot endure.
LePage for VP?
He’s good.
Until a difference of opinion arises between him and some genuine conservative cause, and then they will learn what sweet reason is expressed by his ordering them to osculate his posterior.
When lefties can’t push us out, but can drag us down to their level, they have won almost as much. Nobody can see our merit any more that way.
Maine already has Open Carry. Concealed Carry requires a permit from a police department of sheriff’s department, or the Maine State Police.
Constitutional Carry would grant Maine citizens the right to carry a concealed weapon on their person or in their vehicle without a permit from a police department or sheriff’s department.
The Maine State Police are in favor of Constitutional Carry.
Most police chiefs and county sheriff’s are opposed.
The votes are there for passage.
Angus King’s term is up in 2018.
Gov. LePage’s second term is up in 2018.
LePage has hinted on a radio show that he just might challenge Angus King in 2018 for the Senate seat.
I think Gov. LePage went to a Martin Luther King breakfast in Waterville, a breakfast he attended for years when he was the mayor of that city.
If I remember it correctly, libs were pressuring him to attend another MLK breakfast in Bangor, and that’s when he told them to kiss his hindquarters. That’s how I re-collect the story, anyway.
Plus, the governor has an adopted black son, who’s an adult now.
Also, I saw the results of a poll on TV.
The question was, “Are you in favor of the governor’s plan for welfare reform, or do you support the democrat’s version?”
58% supported the LePage postion
42% supported the dems.
The woman reporting the results on the morning news said, “It’s not even close!”
I never saw the poll mentioned again. Ha!
[[Maine already has Open Carry. Concealed Carry requires a permit.......

Oh ok, that’s where I was confused-
[[The votes are there for passage.]]
Gosh I hope so- The ‘right to bear arms’ is just that- the right to bear them- with no restrictions
[[The Maine State Police are in favor of Constitutional Carry.

I wonder why that is? Why would the force be for it and the bosses be against it?
The Maine State Police apparently spends a lot of time doing background checks and issuing concealed carry permits.
The Maine State Police said it would free up a lot of their time if permits weren’t necessary anymore for concealed carry.
Some police departments and sheriffs departments are worried that drug users and other undesirables would carry concealed weapons if a permit was not required. I say since they’re already criminals, they ignore the law now already and don’t bother getting a concealed carry permit.....they just go ahead and do it.
I heard just one radio ad the other day by Bloomberg’s gun-grabbing group “Everytown for Gun Safety.” Of course, they are opposed to a repeal of the permit process, saying criminals will conceal carry (they already do). The radio ad ran on a radio station that airs conservative talk shows, including Rush. The guy in the radio ad sounded elderly.....he was a retired police chief, doing Bloomberg’s bidding.
Stay Puft Christie was never a Conservative. Paul LePage, who may be the best Governor in the nation, was never a leftist.
Cruz could also pick LePage for VP, too. ;-D
