State’s Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby said Friday she has probable cause to file criminal charges in the much publicized death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray who died while in police custody.
Six officers, including a lieutenant and a sergeant, have been suspended after the incident. Gray suffered a spinal injury and died after riding in a police transport van that made several stops.
On Thursday, Baltimore’s police officials said they turned over their initial report to prosecutors — a day earlier than expected.

That is why I see this and I was around, a little girl, so I am dating myself, that this is 1967 all over again. 2016 will be 1968 all over again, most likely a conservative getting into the White House. Fair minded people have had enough of the urban areas “blowing up”.

Negligence is a reasonable charge but I think this AG is looking for revenge and is overcharging which will lead to further unrest.

That is a problem that is bigger than this case. Campaign financing of judicial elections and district attorney elections inevitably leads to conflicts of interest. She received donations from Gray's lawyer, yes - but, I wouldn't be surprised if the lawyers that ultimately represent the officers donated to her as well. In many jurisdictions, pretty much every prominent lawyer is solicited to donate to pretty much every judicial/DA candidate. It's a problem.
But, ultimately, the case will be decided not by the prosecutor, but by the judge/jury, on the evidence.
The Mayor stating how 3 black females can get this justice done for Gray and harping on about no justice no peace which is political.
The mayor has done an awful job of handling this whole situation. But, that doesn't change the underlying facts of what happened.
Without an independent prosecutor and a change of jurisdiction, don’t see how the officers can get due process in that insane city.
This is why the Dems are really, really TOAST come next year.

“Caesar R. Goodson Jr., William G. Porter, Edward M. Nero, Garrett E. Miller, Sgt. Alicia D. White and Lt. Brian W. Rice. Goodson, who was the driver of the van, is charged with the most serious crime, second-degree depraved heart murder.”
I’d say in all cases these could be white people or black people, not sure about “Nero” is that Italian?
You know that the orders to prosecute are coming from Loretta Lynch and Barack Obama.
I'm withholding judgment until I see what is in the report, what evidence has been gathered.
I'm especially interested in that non-reported stop. At a minimum, procedure was violated with that stop when the officer(s) did not report it when it occurred. Worst case scenario is that something really untoward happened then, so bad they didn't even report it during the investigation.
If news reports are to be believed... and at this point, I'm not inclined to sign on whole-heartedly... this stop was uncovered because a citizen or business had videotape.
You’re absolutely right, I worded that badly. What I was trying to get across was that it seems very possible that the police did have probable cause as this kid had a very long history of dealing drugs. I would assume they caught the kid doing it again. But we all know what happens when you assume... I am interested in seeing more details on this case. If the police are guilty then they’re guilty. This is a very sketchy situation. A young kid just doesn’t die of a broken back, even when riding in a van while not buckled in.

Agreed, 100%. Nothing justifies the rioting we saw earlier this week. But, at the same time, the rioting we saw earlier this week does not justify the initial police conduct.
