Everyone in Moscow tells you that if you want to understand Russia's foreign policy and its view of its place the world, the person you need to talk to is Fyodor Lukyanov.
Lukyanov is the chair of Russia's Council on Foreign and Defense Policy, as well as the editor-in-chief of the journal Russia in Global Affairs, which are something like the Russian equivalents of America's Council on Foreign Relations and Foreign Affairs though the Russian versions are considered much closer to the state and its worldview.

Even after the uranium? How ungrateful.
Yes. After all, a falling tide lowers all boats...
Fyodor Lukyanov: Hes utterly anti-American, deeply and sincerely. And its not about Obama or Bush or Clinton. Its about his perception of America as a destructive power [an obstacle in their mission to reclaim their former territories]."
One would think when she couldn’t even manage to translate “reset” on her stupid “reset button” the Russians would enjoy dealing with another dolt in the Whitehouse.
An interesting piece. Basically, it says the Russian leadership believes that Hillary is tough and hates Putin. This whole reset business, in the eyes of the Russians was Obama’s policy and Hillary was just following through with it.
The Russians apparently are more wary of Hillary and her toughness than they are of Republicans.
Given how Hillary has outmaneuvered Republicans every step of the way for twenty plus years, their viewpoint makes sense.
she gave them a nice plastic ‘reset’ button
they’re so damned UNGRATEFUL!
I despise Hillary. And I don’t give a sh!t how the rest of the world views our politics. Worrying about the view of the ‘world’ is why we’re in this sh!tting mess.
That sounds about right. America is more and more actually ruled by a Moslem with world conquest by Islam in mind.Irrational? yes and he is working hard for that World Moslem Revolution.
I know they excel in reverse psychology, but I still ain’t gonna ever vote for her.
Tsk! Tsk! A man should never hit........uh, never mind.
Pre-collapse, the average Soviet citizen had a far better awareness of the shortcomings of central planning and while patriotic, they were eager for the consumer goods and freedoms they saw in capitalist countries, so in the end the ideology was quickly abandoned. In the US, we tend to forget and take things for granted, but the spirit that swept the nation after 9/11 is a good example of the American core that we would not as readily leave behind.
Can't argue with that...
Putin hates Hillary. So what! Stalin hated Trotsky but they were both socialist tyrants.
This has a “please don’t throw me in that awful br’er patch” feel to it. We’re supposed to think Hillary would be tough on the Russians, her ideological soul-mates? Nah.
Perhaps they think H*****y charges too much, and they will get better access for less money from another DemocRat.
