So status quo (aka, you get the “natural” collapse you are asking for) and the obstructionist Senate Democrats get to eat the blame going into 2016.

That may be the going-in strategy, but history shows that the Democrats and MSM will say that the Republicans purposely sent them a bill that they knew wouldn't pass, and blame it on Republicans. Basically blame Republicans for exercising majority power, just like how Democrats blamed Republicans for exercising their minority powers.

Republicans will never learn to just stand back and let the Democrats and Obama suffer the consequences of their prior strong-arm politics, and just work the messaging to their advantage.

Ok, explained simply I see what you’re saying. The cost of subsidies will be temporary, and then we go back to the medical system we had before with preexisting conditions covered.

“When 2016 rolls around ask yourself: what have they done that they said they would do? The GOP wants our money and our votes, but not our principles.”

In 2014 they ran as conservatives and against Obama’s executive amnesty. Within 2 months of being in office, they voted to fund it. I see a repeat in our future.

suit yourself...you would have applauded John Roberts striking down the individual mandate (and the employer mandate hadn’t kicked in at that point) - but now you’re all pissed if Congress does the same thing.

Go ahead, be a walking contradiction. It’s your right, and my right to point out that you’re a walking contradiction.

You’re so lustful of “victory” that you’ve lost sight of the cause of liberty.

the fix means that few people will stay in Obama Care - and meanwhile, you’d be free to do something else. The market would respond to all kinds of products without the mandates on them.

and then we go back to the medical system we had before with preexisting conditions covered.

I'm not sure it's as simple as that...

Without the employee mandates Obamacare is dead...or we are on the hook for subsidies forever...

The GOP will have to come up with a plan to get the former Obamacare clients covered with same type of plan...

I have always thought the feds needs to give the states one year to come up with their own plans to get everybody in their state covered...each state has their own unique issues and can best figure out the most cost effective way to do it...

I'm sure in every case it will be cheaper than Obamacare...

IF one is smart (that’s IF) then one does not ever, and I mean ever negotiate with a Democrat much less plural Democrats. This plan should be trashed, and replaced with complete reversal of the ACA to no Federal involvement in the business of our business.

Get the Fed in charge solely of it’s constitutionally assigned duties. The Founder’s knew what they were doing.

...at a steep price for the White House. With several Senate Republicans facing tough reelections, and control of the chamber up for grabs, 31 senators have signed on to a bill written by Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) that would restore the subsidies for current Obamacare enrollees through September 2017. But the administration would have to pay a heavy price -- the bill would also repeal Obamacare's individual and employer mandates and insurance coverage requirements.

Other than the temporarily balanced budgets, how did that work out?
Contract with America

1994
As Republican Members of the House of Representatives and as citizens seeking to join that body we propose not just to change its policies, but even more important, to restore the bonds of trust between the people and their elected representatives.

That is why, in this era of official evasion and posturing, we offer instead a detailed agenda for national renewal, a written commitment with no fine print.

This year's election offers the chance, after four decades of one-party control, to bring to the House a new majority that will transform the way Congress works. That historic change would be the end of government that is too big, too intrusive, and too easy with the public's money. It can be the beginning of a Congress that respects the values and shares the faith of the American family.

Like Lincoln, our first Republican president, we intend to act "with firmness in the right, as God gives us to see the right." To restore accountability to Congress. To end its cycle of scandal and disgrace. To make us all proud again of the way free people govern themselves.

On the first day of the 104th Congress, the new Republican majority will immediately pass the following major reforms, aimed at restoring the faith and trust of the American people in their government: Thereafter, within the first 100 days of the 104th Congress, we shall bring to the House Floor the following bills, each to be given full and open debate, each to be given a clear and fair vote and each to be immediately available this day for public inspection and scrutiny.
Respecting the judgment of our fellow citizens as we seek their mandate for reform, we hereby pledge our names to this Contract with America.

It worked out pretty good, until the backstabbers turned against Newt.
Now look where Boehner and his crew took us, with nothing but LIES and DECEIT !

If they gave a 98% rating to Romney, they`re bought and sold by the establishment.

As the old saying goes: Fool me once shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

The Republicans keep fooling their base election after election, but they vote for them anyway. Downright strange. I think there’s a form of battered wife syndrome in the GOP’s base. Or maybe they’re just stuck on stupid.

Who keeps buying things that continually fail their expectations? Why vote for people who don’t do what they say they are going to do?

WOW, 50 IQ much?

When you’ve written a best selling book against the Establishment, then get back to me. Until then, you don’t have anti estab cred to match mine.

You’re just so emotional and unhinged and so full of hate and bitterness that you’re not comprehending a damned word I’m saying...or typing. I didn’t say anything about believing anyone or trusting anyone....I simply said, and Im typing this slowly so your teeny tiny brain can comprehend...that if the individual mandate AND the employer mandate is removed, then the constitutionality of it is restored and YOU nor I have to participate. It was that forced participation, the MANDATE, that made it so bad in the first place.

That’s not as good as full repeal, but full repeal is not happening with Obama anyway. Get over it.

And you totally missed my point about Roberts. That proves you just aren’t really smart enough to even be in this conversation. You’re the type of conservative the media loves to make fun of....you discredit us all.
