Anti-police sentiment in big cities across the country comes at a cost and we're seeing it now with skyrocketing crime statistics from St. Louis to New York City. Baltimore - Murders have doubled with 43 homicides last month alone Chicago - 900+ shootings this year St. Louis - 55 murders this year Dallas - Violent crime up 10 percent Atlanta - Homicides up 32 percent Milwaukee - Homicides up by 180 percent New York City - Murders up 20 percent
Heather Mac Donald at the Wall Street Journal has a detailed piece about the increase in crime that's worth a full read. Reporters from different cities broke down the numbers last night with Greta Van Susteren.
"There's a war on cops. Not bad cops, not bad apples, but all cops and the police know it. The conduct of the suspects is never in question they're always right, it's usually drawn on racial lines. It's a complete, toxic formula to actually do police work," former Los Angeles Police Department Homicide Detective Mark Fuhrman said. "The police are simply scaling back, exactly what everybody's chanting for in all of these protests. 'Don't be so aggressive. Don't stop and frisk. Don't stop and ask where people are going. Don't make traffic stops.' So, they are and now crime's out of site." As I've said before, the criminals in these neighborhoods aren't anti-law enforcement because the police engage in racial profiling or brutality, they're anti-police because cops stop their criminality.
Ironically, some of the very same people in Baltimore who accused the police of racism and wanted them out of their neighborhoods, are begging them to come back.
Can anyone discern the conundrum of our time of why this is happening?

A sure sign of a country well into its decline.

Although I should. Since I’m the typical white person who has to PAY for this mess.
This country is more divided and segregated than ever before. A suburban white and an urban black have virtually nothing in common. Of course if the white uses drugs regularly, he may find himself in the crossfire.
I meant in the headline of course. I would have put Baltimore as #1.
Once people realize cops don’t care....they will go and purchase guns....and get a concealed weapons permit. Within six months....the trend numbers will be way up for people actively taking down folks once they make a threat. I don’t see a problem with this. Maybe someone will freak out that drugged-up thugs are getting hauled off to the morgue at a higher rate.
But I thought if we only fire all police then the criminals would stop stealing and assaulting and killing and we could all hug.
I’d like to compare the degree of worsening to the degree of freedom that locals have to arm themselves for self protection. Probably the more exclusively the locale leans on police, the more problems it has. I.e. big, liberal cities.
By and large, most murders involve pretty bad folks. That’s why they don’t get solved.

Couldn’t the article have simply said “Summer, and thus warmer temperatures, have returned to democrat run cities”
Those are probably libertarians who are socially as liberal as Democrats.
Honest liberal leaders would laugh, and mock your comment. They do not care about logic. They do not care about consistency. They do not care if the lies they spew to control the brainless, emotionally-driven supporters have any basis in fact. They would love it if you knew this... because you can't do a thing about it. You can yell from the rooftops things like "you must pass it to see what's in it is WRONG!!!", and it will do not good. It happened anyway. They relish their power over the idiocracy. Pointing out the stupidity and hypocrisy is only for those who care about such things... and half of this country does not care one bit. They want to feel good about the path they've been led down, and will never, ever allow anyone to tell them that they were wrong or stupid to do so.
Liberals are the old and new radicals.
