(CBS SF) — Maybe it’s all about who is the current commander-in-chief. Maybe it resonates more because of Caitlyn Jenner’s announcement this week. Maybe it’s just the new “normal” for the Department of Defense, but this month the DoD is making it very clear to the American public that the military supports Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month.
“We celebrate the proud legacy LGBT individuals have woven into the fabric of our Nation, we honor those who have fought to perfect our Union, and we continue our work to build a society where every child grows up knowing that their country supports them, is proud of them, and has a place for them exactly as they are,” said President Barack Obama announcing the celebration on the DoD website. . .

Not the military I served in! Back then, each year you were called for an assembly and read the riot act on homosexuality, then you had to sign a paper that you had been read the act.
In basic we served KP for the out processing homo barracks. We were told to serve the food. No laughing, no giggling, no pointing at the things we would see.
And we saw plenty.
In the first president’s papers at the Library of Congress is a series of orders with the title, “Head Quarters, V. Forge, Saturday, March 14, 1778.” It includes the following entry,
“At a General Court Martial whereof Colo. Tupper was President (10th March 1778) Lieutt. [Frederick Gotthold] Enslin of Colo. Malcom’s Regiment tried for attempting to commit sodomy, with John Monhort a soldier; Secondly, For Perjury in swearing to false Accounts, found guilty of the charges exhibited against him, being breaches of 5th. Article 18th. Section of the Articles of War and do sentence him to be dismiss’d the service with Infamy.
“His Excellency the Commander in Chief [George Washington] approves the sentence and with Abhorrence and Detestation of such Infamous Crimes orders Lieutt. Enslin to be drummed out of Camp tomorrow morning by all the Drummers and Fifers in the Army never to return; The Drummers and Fifers to attend on the Grand Parade at Guard mounting for that Purpose.”
As a 24 year veteran, let me just say, we are so screwed as a country!

“Proud”? Proud of what? Proud of their sin? A Sin that God thinks is so serious He assigns the strongest word He can to it and calls it an abomination?
They are really ‘proud’ of this? They should be ashamed- NOT proud!
What ‘legacy’ precisely are they ‘proud’ of? The legacy of suicides their sin drives them to? Of medical problems that they WILLINGLY BURDEN society with? Of the drug use? The pedophilia that is rampant in that society? The multiple partners they just use and discard like garbage? (gay folks usually have an average of 60 partners In their lifetime- some willing, some not!) Are they proud of dragging our kids into their sinful shameful lifestyles? Are they proud of the FACT that they are taking control of kids away from parents?
What in the world are they proud of exactly?
and the RINOs never push back when they have power. i’m sick of the relentless incremental victories by the left in this country over the past 25 years. look at all they accomplish by stacking the courts and exploding the size of the bureaucracy... meanwhile we couldn’t even kill off PBS subsidies. it’s truly disgusting to see 1-party rule in this once great nation of ours. SMDH.

If they are going to celebrate the various sexual choices of those serving, will they also have a “Purity Pride Month” or “Full Quiver Pride Month”? I can assure you that those who save sex for marriage or with large families face more discrimination and rude comments than sodomites do.
