She wants university students to be able to use their student ID to vote, and then go home to their own states and vote.

Of course. They’ve been cheating for more than a half century. You cannot get on welfare without a state id. My hope is that we start prosecuting vote fraud. A couple of high profile jailings and this stuff dies down. Killing it all the way with voter id and a purple thumb.

Pandering to the liberal base.

3/4 of Americans favor voter ID. There’s no way this issue will persuade any moderate or undecideds. Its all for her to show she is as liberal as the MSNBC crowd and the Daily Kos crowd........

Chris Christie???????

I sure as heck wish he had done something about vote fraud here in the Peoples Republic, but AFAIK he's done absolutely nothing.

In a just world, both of them would be behind bars for the rest of their miserable lives.

Universal Suffrage is what brought Chavez to power in Venezuela.

Very interesting, indeed.

Is there a cogent description of this online?

(Thanks!)

1. Registering to vote and getting out and voting are both YOUR responsibility, not the government’s. 2. Registering to vote is a matter carried out by the states, it’s not a federal matter. 3. Automatic registering of voters and all the manner of “early” voting has (a) NOT increased voter turnout and (2) reflect catering to lazy citizens, not responsible ones. 4. Voters who need none of Clinton’s voting “helps” are better voters, and more likely to be better informed voters. 5. There is NO indication that recent voter ID laws have prevented any legitimate voter from voting.

What’s Billary doing? Trying to manufacture an issue where none exists. She sounds like Lincoln Chafee who is saying what we need is metric conversion.

I don't necessarily have a problem with every American citizen being automatically registered to vote at 18, but what's with the 20 day voting period? Why not a year? Even better, let voters change their votes whenever they want, including after the election--a vote of no confidence so to speak.

Here's an even better idea: make voting automatic based on party registration. Democrats would automatically vote for the Democrat, Republicans for the Republican, and independents for the front runner. Voters could still change their minds, but they would have to take positive action to do so. Changing party registration would be impossible during the voting period of course.

We could call it the Let the Democrat Win Voting Act.

Yes. I'm being sarcastic but this is probably close to what the uni-party really wants in regards to voting.

Unlike in the USA, where the FOUNDERS deliberately did not put a right to vote in the Constitution, Venezuela enfranchises all.

CONTEXT: Article 2 of the Venezuelan Constitution defines the country as a democratic state. Article 63 establishes that “voting is a right,” and article 66 establishes that voters “have the right to have their representatives offer transparent and regular public accounts about their management efforts, according to the program submitted.” These articles are the basis of the idea that Venezuela is a democracy

HIGH LEVELS OF PARTICIPATION

As a result of the CNE’s efforts to register people and to make voting easier, Venezuela has had unprecedented rates of voter turnout in recent years. Three quarters of voters went to the polls in the 2006 presidential elections and a record 66% voted in the 2010 Parliamentary elections.

Record numbers are now registered to vote – up from 11 million in 1998 to 19 million today. Over 96% of Venezuelans are now registered to vote, whereas as many as 20% of the electorate were left off the list in the past.

Access to polling stations is also greater than ever before, with there number increasing from 8,000 to 14,000 in the past decade. This has tackled a past problem whereby ballot boxes were often not accessible to those in the poorest areas, where most of the population lives.

I agree .. can you imagine the nightmare of the polls being open for 20 days ..?????????? Of course, she wants to be able to transport all those people from Mexico and other places - to be sure she wins.

Good grief.

Plus she’s blaming republicans for deliberately blocking people from voting. She is dangerous. It’s all to whip up a racial vote like Obama had. Hilary is evil.

Well .. maybe we should show her the video of a pair of black panthers who were stationed outside a polling place .. not allowing any white people to enter.

It’s the DemocRATS who are always deliberately blocking the polls ..!!!!
