Turkey has been in the news a lot lately.. there's a Pennsylvania connection. It's the home of the Gülen Movement. The Gülen Movement: A New Islamic World Order?

Kicked out of secular Turkey Islamist Gülen set up shop here in the U.S. in the 1990s. And until recently he joined with Erdogan and the AK Party to infiltrate and install Islamists in key positions over the years. Now there's been a falling out it seems to me and it's because the relationship now is an Islamist power struggle.

Fortunately the secular Muslims in Turkey are starting to express their views at the polls.

Balci writes that the movement "serve(s) to accomplish three intellectual goals: the Islamization of the Turkish nationalist ideology; the Turkification of Islam; and the Islamization of modernity."

"And therefore, (Gülen) wishes to revive the link between the state, religion, and society," he writes.

Critics claim Gülen wants Islam to play a more active role in societies, breaking down barries between mosque and state while also promoting Turkish nationalism and identity.

The job of the Superintendent is to develop the teacher criteria and "work plans" by which "teaching" is supposed to occur .... which .... imo ..... doesn't

We graduate kids that have no clue of their American heritage, whether they're Republican or Democrat and actually .... they come out not WANTING to vote

Even today .... with the news chock a block FULL of extreme events all over the globe ... no one is interested in their own nation and whether it sinks or swims

Please share what was posted #18 and keep in mind that it used to be the third week of Sept on a Friday that the head count was collected for federal funding. If parents kept their kids home for that one day, the district would “feel” it.
