Then, according to the “job creators” and economists, there is no net job loss. Problem solved!

they aren’t ‘manufacturers’, they’re manual factory labor

a manufacturer is a company that manufactures a product

the biggest impact was on union membership as the factory workers shifted to part-time work in the service industry

Simple explanation. People still gotta eat, but there are cheap drones in the third world to build cheaper merchandise for us to buy, so that we can go eat out at restaurants.

Remember when Reagan was derided for only creating “hamburger flipper jobs?”

I am continually reminded by contemporary economics developments of H.G. Wells' The Time Machine, the Eloi and the Morlocks.

I am reminded of scenes in “It’s a Wonderful Life”, where the issue of good jobs and healthy commerce was contrasted with Potter’s business practices and the increase of bars and speak-easies.

Sound communities are not supported by policies that result in what this graph reveals.

This wouldn’t be quite so bad if a million of the restaurant jobs hadn’t gone to illegals.

Waiters will soon be replaced by tabletop digital tablets that will take orders and relay them to the kitchen.

Sonic Drive Thru does that, but you’re in your car. I liked the girl on roller skates back in the day.

Oh come on now, everyone knows a Bartender can legally be classified as being in Manufacturing, A person takes Raw Ingredients and assembles them in such a way to produce a desirable product for a substantial profit is the very definition of a Manufacturer.
