Discomfort has a name, and it’s MTV’s White People.
The network is serious about its newest documentary from Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Jose Antonio Vargas, who won the prize for covering the Virginia Tech shootings in 2007. White People tackles the hot topic conversation of white privilege head-on in a special presentation borne out of MTV’s Emmy-winning Look Different campaign.
The doc premieres on July 22 on MTV and follows five young white people from around the country, exploring their notions of racial identity in modern America.

It is unconscionable for us to subsidize freedom and prosperity around the world, win TWO world wars, put a man on the moon, lead the world in technology, send assistance anywhere and everywhere in natural disasters, shelter the stateless, feed the hungry, honor our alliances (up to NOW), defend the weak the few and the small, etc....

Reminds me of Chris Rock’s bit about how a White dude in a wheelchair wouldn’t become Black even if offered to be able to walk again. “I wanna ride this white thing out...See where it takes me.” They think it’s a vacation to be White.
I encourage people who uncomfortable with being white to move to Tijuana.

More p1ssing and moaning about the leftist takeover of media and culture. I have yet to read a cogent conservative analysis of how this takeover occurred, why it was not anticipated and why we don’t have a CONSERVATIVE MTV.
Now, if we can grab out b@lls and confront the fact that we have to this point lost the battle for the hearts and minds of American youth and admit to ourselves that we have been doing something wrong, have misunderstood some salient aspect of culture formation, have ALLOWED the left to walk across our face, have been in some way BLIND...then we can begin to formulate a game winning strategy.

Huh? What did those low IQ, non-achievers say about being white? Seriously? No single person said anything about living their life with a work ethic, education and an aversion to receiving government assistance. What was the point of this trailer?

“MTV” is/has been on my “Skipped” Channel list for about 20 years now.
