When it was announced that the parents of Kathryn Steinle, were going to appear on Bill O’Reilly’s national news show, it was hard to imagine what they were going to say.
And it didn’t go the way anyone expected.
Jim Steinle and Liz Sullivan are understandably lost in grief. But the Pleasanton couple didn’t say we need to tighten the borders or crack down on undocumented immigrants. They slipped into Fox News-speak a couple of times, saying “illegal aliens,” a jarring term that has long passed, like “colored people,” into the realm of pejorative.
And I suppose it is also to be expected that Fox and O’Reilly used the moment as a political wedge for a larger agenda of complaints about lax immigration policy, spineless government and lack of action.
They would, O’Reilly said, create “Kate’s Law,” a measure that would set up a mandatory penalty of five years in prison for any deported felon who returned to the United States.
The idea, made up in a TV studio, is a Fox fantasy that plays perfectly to the idea that there’s a easy fix for all these matters if we’d just stop with all the sympathy and violins and show a little good, old-fashioned discipline.
It has ignited a national debate, for better or worse. It may get ugly. Or it may push us to something real, concrete and helpful.
But we shouldn’t forget where all this all began — with a stroll on a San Francisco pier on a July evening. Most of us didn't know who Kate Steinle was then. Now the entire country does.

He’s thinking about ‘points scored’ by his political enemy, while a normal person would think of ‘lives crushed, and families ruined’.

Attack and belittle the victims’ family and FoxNews for giving them a venue.

Any casualties were and are acceptable for their agenda and forgotten before the blood is dry.
20 year sentence of hard time for any sherrif, mayor, warden or councilman that releases an illegal alien criminal, sanctuary cities be damned!
We don't want to secure/house/feed and medicate illegals by the millions on the tax payers dime.
Bottom line, we need a secure borders like Trump said over and over. The cost for these tax paid hotel prisons and jails alone are choking us off.
Btw, decades ago these professional politicians and others should have been arrested, prosecuted and imprisoned long ago for aiding and abetting this violent coast to coast lawlessness.

Three young black men who committed crimes were killed by police. Quick responses from the White House in support of the black men, even sending representatives to talk to the surviving families and in some cases calling for a federal investigation.
One white young woman shot and killed by an ILLEGAL alien. From the White House nothing. No phone call, no representative contacting the family of the deceased. NOTHING.
People who are neither Black nor White say the reason is very obvious. The 3 young men were Black, but the 1 young woman was White.
What do you propose for a sheriff who actively sought the return of Lopez-Sanchez to San Fransisco so he could release him. Near the end of Lopez serving 4.5 years in a federal prison, the SFSD filed papers and deliberately caused the Bureau of Prisons to turn Lopez over the SFSD, supposedly to pursue a 20 year-old marijuana possession charge. But, Surprise!, one day after his arrival, the SFSD dismissed the case and released the criminal. As sorry as they are, the feds were not going to just release this guy.
Lopez’s presence in SF was not an accident or mistake, but a disaster caused by the sheriff or his staff. Why did the sheriff do this? Who else was involved? Is it common procedure to for SFSD to game the system to bring illegal alien criminals to SF so they can release them? What I can’t understand is why the murder victim’s parents are not all over this aspect of the case. It reeks.
I have a hard time believing that the White House would be more sympathetic had that bullet hit a black woman that evening, even if the killer turned out to be Obviously White, and maybe even if the killer's motives turned out to be Obviously Racist. Though we'll never hear this admission from certain parties, it'd still be more significant that the killer was here illegally with the help of "sanctuary city" policies promoted by those who are politically like this president. Even thinking through that "obviously racist" scenario, I have a hard time imagining that certain people would take harsher actions against illegal immigration than what they've already taken against the Confederate flag.
Now we're talking!
Alien invaders rolls nicely from the tongue and describes these criminals well. The term, illegal invaders, will make liberal heads explode, including the Bush family seditionist, Jeb.
